Hi Mick, thanks for the welcome! yeah the one in my avatar is mine, I put a lot of work and effort into her and still do! But I’m not one for making something pretty and then not use it; you can’t take ’em to the grave:) I ride the enduros over here (not to win of course) just to see the look on some of their faces when a 26 year old bike comes past them on their new KTMs:whistle:

Hi, just came across the thread and enjoyed reading the bit of info about the XR from days gone by. Always interested to read any history about the old XRs. I’ve got a 1985 XR250 which I rebuilt, you can see the work undertaken here http://www.xr250.co.uk

I’ve recently started riding in enduros over here in the UK and here’s a shot of me racing the old girl a few weekends ago in May 2011.
