Sorry I haven’t had a chance to post yet. Been flat out at work – and that’s where we all do or forum reading and posting isn’t it??
Kowen was my first ride back after a broken rib so I took it very easy on the Saturday, just doing the beginner’s loop to see if everything still worked, how the bumps would feel etc.
All was good so my brave riding buddies Alison and Grant decided that I was up to the North loop for Sunday
Rigg’s pretty much summed it up for me, tight …. tight …. tight. By the time I got to “F” I was F’d so we short-cut back to base. Alison’s forks were leaking but I’d be kidding myself if I said that was why we headed back. Some days I feel way too old for this
But on the positives ….. it was awesome weather; it was an extremely well organised event; all the other riders were brilliant – no ego’s, nothing to prove, just there for the fun of it; and a great chance to catch up with Wazzup and Linda, Gocman, Alison and Grant, and for Riggs to take the kids to Questacon.
Great vid, Wazzup. Was that the South loop?

Back to the topic ……

wazzup wrote:i’m going to the Kowen forest ride weekend 2/3 april which is also “not a race”.
entries close 29 march will Cathi be better by then?Yep, plan is to be better in time to ride Kowen. Erika who was also out of Transmoto because of a broken foot is planning her comeback then too so we’ll be taking it very easy on the beginner loops for Saturday at least. Will see how I go and maybe tackle the other loop(s) on Sunday.

2 have had to be replaced as injuries were too severe. 1 of the replacements injured last week, but should be ok for a few laps.
Rain forecast all week end.
 :silly: :pinch:
WOW! Remind me not to go riding with you Riggs.
And it just keeps getting better. Now the one remaining original, and previously healthy, rider has the flu!!! Good thing it’s not a “race”
Jeffro wrote:My Berg is like that, particularly in 1st, not so bad in other gears though and like yours, a pain to get into neutral unless I am trying to change gears on a snotty uphill, then it’s really easy.Almost fell of my chair when I read this Jeffro because I can just soooo relate to it. ROFLMAO
Sorry BellingenEv, I know that doesn’t help solve the problem. I did mention it to my Husky mechanic last week when I took the bike in for a service and he told me that it’s normal for … now bear with me being a typical female here … but I think he said it was typical of EFI bikes. Don’t shoot me down, I’m just the messenger, don’t even know if your bike is fuel injected or not, but that’s what I was told.
BellingenEv wrote:Does this happen to other makes ?My Husky’s the same most of the time. It’s a PITA.
It’s a pity you missed out Bundyroy, but I think it’s a good thing they’ve closed the race. The numbers I’m hearing are a bit scary.
mallee wrote:Cath: you need to go straight for the mud puddles as show to us by Wazzup and I showed you
how to go throught the big bog hole on the power line track:huh: (not).
MalleeGoing straight in, full throttle is my usual style :woohoo: but it was taking too many years off Riggs life when he had to watch (and wade in to rescue me) so I was trying to be good. I did still manage to have one muddy swim  but fortunately the memory card on the helmet cam was full by then, lol.

Have a great day girl, you deserve it.
If you’re not having a birthday drink tonight I guess I’m going to have to do it for you
Welcome GOCMAN. Am sure we’ll be seeing you on another ride before too long.
Cheers,
Cathi

Get the feeling you life will feel like your in a rut   a 10klm rutSource was someone working with the organisers

All part of the fun & experience :woohoo: …… now, I just need someone to remind me of that when I’m stuck in that 10km long rut, lol.
wazzup wrote:Actually followed the link (thanks sb-250y) and read what it’s all about i thought it was some proper hardcore race type event but it sounds great fun. hope it’s not to late to get a team together i need to try out my new 10 litre camelbak…..  :laugh:10 litre camelbak ….. ROFLMAO 😆 :silly: 😆
Hope you get a team sorted, it should be fun. You can always go in as a single or pair. I’ve heard that they’ve had loads of entries so you might want to try and get something sorted soon in case they close it. I’m sure some people will take it seriously but they’ll have to overtake me which is guaranteed to slow them down, lol.
mal5.1 wrote:Capt. furious and I have entered a 2 man team. Not sure if we’ll make it to the end but we’ll have fun trying. :woohoo:Time to go find a 10km loop and go round and round for a few hours. :silly:
Cool. Be good to see you guys again!!
Happy Bday mate,
