That way they’d get to know some OBTers, put faces to names and might even be more inclined to give you your “leave pass” once they know who you’re riding with.
(Sorry if that’s a bit of wild suggestion. )

Quote:Hi To all Old Bulls, been casing this site for a while now and thought about time to say goodday. The name Mallee comes from I use to live near West Wyalong, the Mallee root throwing town of NSW. Now I live in Nowra.
I use to ride with Lenn Norris, Ian Schmier and the rest.
Have had bikes most of my time from trail bikes to road bikes, some of my old mates still have their old bolderors, Z1, Z1000,
Yami 650, kawasaki 650w series.
At the moment I ride a KLX400 (DRZ400 in green).
Some great trailride places around here but I seam to ride by myself most of the time, use to ride with the son and daughter but they are doing other things now adays. Have rode with some other guy’s from around here but they treat it like a race day. One day I was with these young blokes who said I was too slow and so I said see you later and then he fell off and broke his arm. I like to do to work on monday.
Other hobies are drinking piss and fishing- I am on a few fishing sites too.
If yous are down this way pm me.
MalleeLol, love your intro Mallee, welcome. Nice to find someone else fairly local (Riggs and I are in Wollongong). As Katgirl and Hatto have said, we’ve got a ride coming up on 12th Feb if you can handle a nice cruisy pace.
Hope to see you around soon.
Cathi
I think it’s a great idea and it would be good for it to be a bit more regular than once a year. Weekends are probably the best option. We’d probably ride up when we could and make a bit of a day of it. Perhaps it could be held in different parts of Sydney (North one time, South the next etc) to make it more accessible to “out of towners”.
Riggs & I are in the Gong too. Gosh, there’s a few of us now. Maybe we should try and all get a ride happening down our way.

Welcome Burkey. Riggs and I are also from Wollongong. Hope to meet you on a ride soon.
Cheers,
I’m sure I could talk Riggs into it 😆 Depends on the dates.
Hi Charlie,
Riggs and I met you yesterday. Hope to catch up for a ride again soon.
Cheers,
Cathi
Cheers Tramo for organising the weekend. Had a ball. And also for coming to the Husky’s rescue when it threatened to end my ride early.
Was definitely challenged on Saturday but did take some comfort when we discovered last night that instead of taking “6” down, we’d actually ended up on “10” which is a red. Made me a feel a tiny little bit better about struggling with it so much – massive thanks to Riggs for getting me through it. The bruises will heal …. eventually, lol.
That hill climb is insane!!!! It pales in comparison now but the Porkchop challenge is on June long weekend next year :woohoo: .
Thanks for leading the ride on Sunday, Wazzup. It was what I needed!!
Great to meet you Tramo and Wazzup. Looking forward to catching up with you on a ride again soon.
Riggs and I did Heffo’s riding clinic last weekend and his advice on oil was to use one that you can afford to change frequently. Frequent changes seem to more important than using expensive oil.
Kat is back. I’ve spoken to her a couple of times and it sounds like it was an awesome trip full of challenges and achievements. I’m sure writing a ride report for for an experience like that will take a while (as will settling back into the “real” world I expect)but she is safe and sound.
Her bike is still on it’s way back but I’m sure once it’s back she’ll be out riding with us again
Hi Dozerno1
Riggs and I are in Wollongong, so not too far from you. We ride Belanglo occasionally and the south coast a fair bit. Give us a shout if you want to catch up for a ride some time.
Cheers,
Sorry guys, Riggs and I are out for this
Am sure you’ll have a great time and can’t wait to read the reports and see the photos.

TBLol, let’s just say he does like his comforts.
Seriously though, the weekend is starting to look a bit questionable for us – for a number of reasons. So Rebore450, I really appreciate the offer of the chemical loo but please don’t go to any trouble on my behalf as there’s a chance we may not be there in the end.
