Yeah Chris, they’re really rocky!! And apparently I didn’t see the worst of it. Took us by surprise at first and kept it “challenging” for me.

StruckyHi Strucky,
As Riggs said, the stickers are a custom job by Kenny Signs ( http://www.kennysigns.com )from the bike’s former life as a project bike for ADB. If you contact them they might remember the job.
Cheers,
Cathi

I can handle it and if I can then I know Kat can. Any other girls going?
Of course, if a chemical loo were to find it’s way there it I would be forever grateful  (and it’d have a “Ladies” sign on it before the first flush!!!).
Cheers,
Cath

Quote:I just received a phone call from Kat. She had just arrived at Uluru (Spelling? ) Ayers rock.Today they did 400kms of rock and sand. She proudly said she is one of only two that havent fallen off the bike in the 3000+ kms they have covered so far. She also said there was only one bike that hasnt had any problems which is the mighty Honda CRF230
They have had blown rear shocks, water pumps, radiators, flats amongst other things go wrong with the KTM’s and BMW’s.
She said that the pivot pegz, the Scott damper and the air hawk are her saviours
She sounded very upbeat although she admitted she struggled the last 100kms today. She said the Simpson is next, tomorrow is a lay day and she is going to change the oil in the mighty CRF230, which the others have nick named the postie bike

Thanks for the update TB. I’ve been wondering how Kat’s going. Sounds like she’s doing us proud (not that I’m surprised at all).
Cheers,
Cathi
Go girl!!! I will be living vicariously through you. Can’t wait for the updates.
Dragging this up again – what was the final verdict on the tyres?

Cool, I have a couple of things from my MN Triton GLXR that I’m happy to find a new home for:
* Sports/Roll bar
* Bash platesGiven weight/size postage isn’t pratical but I might be able to deliver to some parts of Sydney, otherwise pick up in Wollongong.
Riggs and I went out yesterday. It was a brilliant day, worth the traffic mayhem!!
I’m sure we will post some pics/vid soon.
We saw a Beaurepairs truck with “Old Bull” on the front. Is that anyone here?
Who’s heading out to this?
We heard an interview with Robbie Maddison on the radio this morning and it sounds like it’s going to be really good.
Riggs and I will be there on Sunday (albeit maybe a little late) and I know Katgirl is. Anyone else?

For everybody else, it was the connector between the kill switch and the engine.
Thanks Bollocks. It is pretty exciting to be in a mag!! :woohoo:
But my ego aside, as Katgirl said, we’re both keen to get more girls into the sport. Hell, if I can do it, anyone can, lol.

Quote:CathiM – if you and Riggs are going I’d love to come along. I’m trailbike-less for month of September so this would be a good ‘filler’ for something to do. I think I’ll ride the BMW out there… :woohoo:Yep, we’ll definitely be there. It’s in calendar. We’ll probably ride the Beemer too. Unless we end up bringing Jonathan with us in which case we’ll be in the cage.
Sounds like there could be a bit of a crew turning up. Woohoo!!
