Mick, stay on the gas and off the clutch
May be SS cut your power, and drained the fuel out of your company car, and then tampered with your brain waves.
The only other thing is possibly notches in the clutch basket it self????????????maybe a combination of the two
Mick my Xr does the same thing when it gets hot ever since We, TB & I put after market clutch plates in, I questioned the Honda mechanic about this at Finke and his diaganosis is when the clutch plates gets really hot the disc material expands considerably and gives you x amount of freeplay and no clutch, I now set my free play in my lever to an absolute minimum, and try to stay off the clutch in tight stuff (very hard).
Chamging your oil is the the cheapest maintenance you can do I change mine about every 500km and I use Motul 5100 ester 10/50 for my old XR600 with approx 30 000km on the clock, and sorry Ollie but I think a reuseable filter is just begging for contamination problems if you don’t do it properly, compared to ” pull old filter out and throw over shoulder and put new clean filter in”. Thats just my thoughts.
It was a RED Kangaroo
Great update Crash, keep them coming, me thinks there is a sports reporter inside trying to break out!
