That was wow
Great work
I shall have to get a job and spec this tenere up and go and have a look for myself!!!!!!!If its a UHD tube the patches don’t seem to take that well.
I tried it on a ride to orange with TB when it wet flat the second time he killed for ever.
Put a 21 front in and it lasted till I got home 300+ kms
Not really the worth the effort if you have a front just stick that in.
That was assuming your dealing with a rearYour engine cooling system is designed around the fact that it has “Air Flowing Through the Radiator Cores” (MOVING FORWARD) hence why when you had bigger or different radiators you are increasing the surface area for the heat to transfer to the atmosphere .
By increasing the boiling point of the coolant that just increases the stress on the engine i.e. lessens the clearances of moving parts ( piston to barrel ).
On a high revving, high performance late model engine that is the last thing I would want!!!!
At no point does the manufacturer state its ok to leave bike idling at normal operating temperature.
The cooling systems of modern engines are only just big enough to do there job, there is no extra % factored in like engines of old, because it is all extra weight extra parasitic load on the engine taking valuable H/Power.
Even trickling a little water of the cores will make a HUGE difference, to the pressure and temperature drop across the cores, but you can’t really do that
SH&T it is electric start, switch the thing OFF.
Yes check the mixture to make sure it is not to lean via mapping or jets.
Its not broken don’t f&*K with it
K Keep

Hey this sounds like another ride for me
I am told, by a reliable source that giant loop bags go well on teneres
so put me down TB if you know what I mean??
Thanks chickenSeptember 23, 2013 at 8:46 am in reply to: The Peats Ridge One Day sort of navigation ride 2013 #250012Your not wrong King I am lovin it.
It was great to get off road with a great buncha blokes too, I am glad I came home when I did and did not over do it, I was tempted but quit while I was feeling good
Thanks to TB organising another good day outSeptember 22, 2013 at 12:21 pm in reply to: The Peats Ridge One Day sort of navigation ride 2013 #250010Well my day started early taking my daughter to work at maccas.
Then home for a abit more sleep then I thought I would get ready at 5.30 so drag out all the old riding gear wich haden’t been used in nearly 2 years, pants just fitted then the boot problem 30 minutes just to get one boot one ( my toes just kept curling up ) and off to Peats ridge met up with old and new faces due to some tech problems the ride went into the corner man system which worked really well Wolfie and I down the back sweeping very casually bit of dust just hang back.
All cool then after a short stop for a flat on the BMW in the Watagans which was only because of a bit low pressures and popping the bead no probs then of we go Wolfie sorta disappears I come around a corner I catch the end of him coming to a stop and all the boys about 20 or so meters on the other side of mud hole all set for photo opportunities, which I think all missed?????
Tenere down with stuff all damage thanks to bark busters and engine crash bars ( I will be investing in those, this stuff can be bought a Adventure moto) Wolfie not so good his boot had half come off and helmut peak facing barkwards (like daffy duck after elma fud had blasted him ) we straightened the bars up in the brackets on the bike and straightened the forks up so everything pointed the right way.
Wolfie pulled out near Morisset which I think was a good move on though Hawkmount and some single trail
I am really enjoying riding the tenere for such a heavy bike and stock tyres I really loved it (if it was wet it may have been a bit more challenging) I am very impressed.
On to West Wallsend for lunch at the Museum Hotel for a great feed then through sugar loaf and out to Brunkerville and over the gap where I pulled out.
I thought I would bail while I was feeling really good.
Forgot to mention Wigsters head but attempt on his GPS, he got a bit of a arse kicker and payed in blood .
Really wrapped for my first bike ride in soooo long
Thanks TB for lead and Lefty and Wolfie for sweeping.
Thanks to everyone else for a great day outWell folks it would appear that it is THUNDER BIRDS are GO !!!!!!!!
YA F% $KEN HOO :cheer:  :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:
” CALGA ” exit
Hey James, got the Rox risers thanks a lot, I have been up in north Queensland for a few days so the boys didn’t getem out of the letter box.
Fitted them straight away with out too many hassles ( may be cause TB had already played around with the routing of the cables??)
Few adjustments after a test ride but I am wrapped greatly appreciated will fix you up with more than just a couple of beersI hope yours are ok cause I am using stock and only stock tyres
Gees us Nick that’s just WTF sorta stuff, your so lucky, like TB said listen to the doctors and later on get a exercise physiologist ( they are specialists in getting your muscles toned back up as you will loose muscle tone very quickly, I have been seeing one for the last eight weeks and my back and leg/foot are improving unbeleavibly the pain is way down and core strength is increasing and using on small weights on specific muscle groups
but anyway all the best get well soon
ChickenHey thanks James what size are the risers
pm me what $$$ you want for them.
ThanksWelcome mate you’ll fit in well round here 😆 😆 😆
Loved it first time off road, stock tyres no dramas at all
just need some bar risers I look like a half squating pryingmantusSorry James abit slow to reply the bike is great just doubling the girls to and from work and down to Tuggerah
I am loving it more and more I really see why everyone is talking about these bikes
