Seen the Yamaha version at Yellow Mountain race in 2007 or 2008 one of the Smith boys were riding it, I think in prepration for Condo 750 and the Austalian Safari.
Hyd pump driven off the counter shaft with hoses out to a hyd motor on the front hub, can’t remember where it placed in the finish!Happy birthday Mick and Jeffro now I know what I’ll look like when and if I get THAT old
Best wishes from the chook penHey Bollocks, the wind factor is the biggest thing for me, when we did the Lightning Ridge ride my neck was so sore from the wind buffeting. maybe because I’m tall or I was using an open mx helmut or factor of both, either way I would put a screen on, your arse will be oK 😆
February 26, 2012 at 12:04 pm in reply to: Singles, beers, BBQ, Grass Tracking, Cinema, Hobbits #216963A biggg thanks to Mick for the great catering and accomodation and Moose for leading us on tracks that even TB hadn’t been on  . It was such a great week end, the shed shananigans were funny as, the videos of the the tracks, and seeing karma revisited on nickj was so funny when TB kept replaying the crash after he and nickj left me trapped under the xr.
Micks new camera is awesom and nickj’s goggle video camera is so good, excellant vision.
Mick will have to super treat the pool with that much sweat washed off in it.
Thanks to every one, great to meet spud and rob400 (the quiet one)

WOW, WELL DONE OLLIE, YOU ARE THEIR HERO/ANGEL
Could be the MC seals are leaking internally, you can purchase the big syringe from a chemist a mate buys from them to measure in a/c oil into compressors.
Well this is my second attempt at a ride report today, did the first one on my iphone and had a iphuckup moment and lost it, any this was my first ride out on my xr after the rebuild and my firts ride in months to say christmas was good was an understatement(fatter than I realised) :woohoo:
I had put a new rear on and a good 2nd hand front with a mouse (with no injuries) I knew it was geared a bit tall for the Watagans but thought I would just clutchit a bit more, well I checked the GPS when I got to the fellas and top speed was 128kph on the run through the Watagans, abit tall was an way outer wack.
The tracks were as expected very rutted and over riden(raped)
It wasn’t long before my clutch was cookin an so was I, I had cramps where I didn’t know I had muscles
Thanks for everyones patience I woosed out about 1 oclock nakerded but very happy with the bike
Another great Old BULLS day out i shall be getting back into it to get my fittness back
Thanks again TB for leading and Ollie for sweeping👿 Actually didn’t think of THAT angle 👿
Because then you would need to fit thrust plates or factor in thrust loads caused by the helical gears, maybe bigger components etc then that adds weight to an already fat bike. no one likes fat bikes
Not far to go now, just got off the phone fromTB their on the Blackfellow hand trail.
Hey Mick TB rang me last night at 10.30ish sounding tired but the rumskis were 😆 fixing that upGood news :woohoo: and bad news

Thats ok Mick, the engine was a running 630 before the rebuild and I bought it because it had gear box problems, we have just rebuilt the engine as it was
Well its finished after a slight miscommunication, The Left one has taken her for its maiden ride on Tuesday or Wednesday (I forget) 110km around the local traps, and tells me it pulls like nothin else!!!!!! 👿
The full break down of parts as follows
New counter shaft
New crank and conrod assembly
New piston
New full set of gears
New selector fork
New clutch basket and heavy duty clutch
Cylinder head reconditioned
New cam chain and tensioner and guide
Bore honed

All I need is the time to pick her up and go for a rideI can’t thank Lefty enough for the top job and perfectionist approach to the rebuild, thanks mate
I would never have gotten round to to doing the job at best it would have been pulled apart and put into the too hard basket
