Yes I know your right . Ill stick to the two bearing set up as per my old Tenere .
I picked up a new white Tenere . nothing said about a grey colour release , what would the year of manufacture be on the grey ? the white Tenere has 2012 stamped on it , that’s new off the shop floor.

Yes thats it, the old 130 I have at home has that band . But a 140 I saw on a bike yesterday did not, all tread , looked a good working tread and footprint, on the 130 as the tyre ware’s you have that solid rubber section. Yes I have been running 606 for sometime also , just looked like a good tyre for those other rides !
    Thanks TB

Just a note to those with 50.000km on there Teneres my gearbox has failed too :( same symptom’s as TB,s I had the selector bearing changed as soon as I read TB,s post at about 45000km  now in the process of removing the motor. CHOOT

Damage may have already been done? Was the bearing split like mine?

    TB

TB a peace of the bearing ” sprag side ” found at the bottom of the motor under the clutch . Yes I think the gear was at the point of failure at the time I replaced the selector bearing. CHOOT.

hi choot du think it really needs it

Yes pedro if you do a fair bit of offroad riding on these big bikes It helps alot.

TB has one great setup lots of gear on and in the flight deck, its up to you pedro just keep in mind the hole lot is held in place by two bolts 8mm I think into the top tree , they will bend I found out while my yamaha bars stayed straight. Something to think about. CHOOT

Hi Choot, thanks for this post, I will get this for my Ten as well. I have been holding back as I did not feel the need to change my handlebars to a thicker unit as required with the older damper.

By the way mate, are you happy with the handle bar risers fitted to your bike (I have been thinking about them as well 😆 )?

    Cheers

Yes Tenere Traveler’s, there only 15mm risers made it a little easyer on the lower back while standing.

We went down that way on Sunday as well and then out to Tarana Pub for lunch.
The RR for that is on ORE called “Looking for Curly Dick” …don’t let Kat see it though ;)

Between Old Bulls, ORE and Facebook we have a good way of catching up for rides.
Hooray for the internet :cheer: :cheer:
PS My profile photo is on the St Albans road.

I think Diddle was wrong last year when he said that Adventure bikes weren’t real bikes

Good day Mark, big ride you had on sunday mate. choot (carr2034)
