Doh  was only supposed to copy in one you tube clip – not a labyrinth of stuff. Doesn’t seem right one post having so much stuff.

Moderators delete if not cool

    Hey James

Everyone’s pretty much covered everything, but as I owned a 690 I may as well throw in my 2c worth.

In my opinion it is a bike that can do everything but with out spending money on mods you wouldn’t want to do any more than a day trip . I done a 3 day trip on mine on the stock seat and was walking like huggy bear for the next 3 :pinch:
Saying that though a damper was the 1st thing I brought cos of a tasty tank slap

Awesome bike though, it was on the open trails on song where it really excels – that’s not for the faint hearted as your going at a rate.

It rode the tight stuff ok and was surprising not that fatiguing (unless you drop it – not the lightest) cos of the power delivery it so smooth, I could do everything the lighter bikes was doing just at cruiser pace, so if you want to improve as rider in the tighter stuff, I wouldn’t recommend the 690 cos your ride it with a lot more caution .
Drz another bike that that capable of ticking a lot of boxes, better in the tighter stuff than the 690 to.

    Hope this helps
    Cheers
