    Hi all

Brought the 449 and loving it :cheer:

The motor a gem i reckon, torquey but smooth, easy to get the power to the ground and it has more than enough of it ,for me anyway.

Traction on the hill climbs is awesome, make’s snotty hills so much fun :) :)

The bike is just so much fun, cant wait to get back on it :)

Added a pic, i brought the shop owners bike as it had everything i want to do to it then some

Bit to race bling,it looks as though it should go faster than it will with me as the pilot 😆 going to tone it down a bit with some new decor
    Photo to come couldn’t attach

The life span for a tank that has its anode replaced every 2yrs would be about 20-25yrs,leave it any later it will probably last about 10yrs.
An 8yr old anode could fall to pieces when trying take it out a 10 yr old anode would have fallen to pieces anyway.
Then it sit’s rusting at the bottom of your tank and every time you run a bath it will come out a rusty colour that could be mistaken for piss and the girls hate that
so you will probably have to buy a new one tank anyway. 😆
As a plumber i know this and have to replace 10yr old tanks all the time which is good for me so don’t tell every one  cheers

After some research on the TE449 i’ve decided to get one soon as. :)
The only thing i think that would be a pain in arse is the swinging arm having to come off to replace the front sprocket because off the co axial system, not that that’s to major. :pinch:
Apart from that 1st valve check after 300k’s which will be included in 1st free service then every 1000k’s after that which is pretty standard i think for this type 4 strokes.
Judging from what Galey said and the write up’s the 449 is supposed to be really smooth and fun to ride but the 511 makes it a lot more aggressive, a bit of a hand full according to the write ups.
you can buy after market protection for the exhaust $140 in carbon looks the biz to.
Maybe because Husky is owned by BMW they will hold there money better to,maybe.
And at $11450 on road with 2 yr warranty + trooper lu’s garage is going to do me an excellent price on all extra’s i’m going for it. :cheer:
    Will keep you posted.

Yep it has been a great bike capable of riding any terrain.
Wish i had the cash to keep it and get a more single track focused bike as well but until those numbers come in something has to give.
Good one for completing that 700k ride bet that was fun.

Cheers for that eagle, will give that a try to.

Like what you’ve done to your 690,looks the business.

Yeah it going to be a sad day when my 690 goes but i can’t do the cameron ride because of work : angry:
Plus can’t see me doing enough adventure riding in near future to warrant keeping her unfortunately but will riding a lot of single track so going to replace with a te449. :side:
Have an awesome cameron ride, give that 690’s awesome mid to top end sweet spot a tickle for me  :silly: :woohoo:

Cheers for putting on the wk end,it was well worth it.
The suspension feels a lot better now, landing the 690 is a lot smoother although i still hit the ground with a thump but you can’t have it all.
    cheers
