Greg,I thought it may have raised a smile from you at least considering the build up to this ride, first real ride in 12 odd years and can’t even get dressed without hurting myself:blush:  .I have had the cruciates rebuilt in both my knees before this and the left knee was the last one to be done.
Yes greg I will invest in a set of braces, but the 24/7 thing is a worry though, dont want to scratch the mr’s with them.

    Regards Chris.

Ok picture this,I am running a little late so I get there and most of the blokes have there gear on and some are warming bikes up,I jump out and quickly say g’day to a few fella’s and then start getting ready,I parked on a grassy area and it was 8.00am so the grass was wet from the overnight dew anyway I had a pair of croc knockoff’s on my feet(the thong thingy’s).I took my jeans of and then thought that instead of getting wet feet I may as well get changed in the back of the ute, lowered the tailgate and proceded to get in the back, well croc’s,water and slippery surfaces dont go together real well,I slipped and went arse up on the deck in my T-shirt,jock’s and croc’s.
I thought sh*********t that hurt’s as I held my left knee, sat on the tailgate for a couple of minutes and suffered in silence and contemplated what to do,so I made the call to gear up and ride as the knee didn’t blow up like they had in the past and I thought that no damage may have been done.
Well it took about 20min’s to realise that I may have made the wrong choice(fancy that)so I persevered with it for the duration of the ride,we left at 8.30 and got back at 5.15 so it was some ride!!!
We rode forestry roads for around the first 15min’s and the rest was a mix of single track and forestry roads, now if any of you would like to ride some of the tightest, bestest single track this was the ride for you, first gear on the yz450 was way to tall and the clutch faded quite a few times,we stopped for a refuel after the 2hr mark and there was cold water and soft drink if you wanted I chose to elevate the leg for a few minutes,we then rode some more single track until we had lunch, lunch was coleslaw, pasta salad, tomato, potato salad, chicken pieces, diced chicken, ham, buns, bread and soft drink, beer or water,it was a good spread and the food vehicle was towing a bogie box trailer with the fuel drums as well, not bad for $10 each.
The boy’s had a go at some bullsh*t hillclimbs, some made it some didn,t and then we all headed back to the pub with no beer for a glass of water:laugh: .
All in all it was a top day but I have not fared so well but thing’s happen I spose and at the moment I will be out for the 4hr in november.

    Regards Chris.

Yeah Mick only taking the piss;).
Mate we are leaving the Taylor’s arm pub at 8.00-8.30 in the morning, the boy’s have a chuck wagon/recovery vehicle/mobile workshop/fuel tanker/ambulance/ support vehicle that will carry fuel and food for us,there is a fair bit of single track that they have been cutting in for months and the rest is firetrails, the distance is around 140-150klm for the day so I have been informed, and they run the cornerman system????.
It is actually a blokes 40th birthday and we are all going for a ride with him and staying at the pub and the park across the road for a big night tomorrow night, going to have a BBQ in the arvo.
Any of you blokes want to come, turn up in the morning or if you want to come over for a drink do that as well and bring a swag.
I will be in the dinged up white duel cab rodeo with the 05 450 yammie and the 90’s riding gear that not one item matches the other:laugh: .

Thank’s for the direction’s,should have known that it would be next to the santa claus(where else would it be).

Squirrel, squirrel, squirrel you silly little fellow,so much promise, and I would have been worried about being sorted out except for this admission by yourself “so many babes so little of me” now squirrel we all know the story about the guy with the little one.I bet there are some dissapointed babe’s ehh but I need people to make me look good with the babe’s, and for that I thank you;),oh what it must be like to be a gerbil:P :P  .

Good review Greg, they are high on the list of thing’s I should aquire…………..ahhhhhhh so many thing’s to get and so little money, trust me you guy’s when I say if you have ever had ligament or tendon damage to your joints they make a broken bone look appealing strange as that sounds I reckon it’s the truth as the bloody thing’s ache and creak all the time.
Greg was it hard to work out the sizing,I would worry that they would not fit me and then would have to dick around returning them to the states and such.
Gee’s they would be handy for the ride this weekend……been told that there will be a minimum of 35 bikes going that’s just great:dry: what’s the chances of it being a trouble free affair;) ,I might stay at the pub with no beer and see if it is true:laugh: .

    PS, sexxxxxxxy legs mate:laugh:

Thank’s Mick, well, well, well is that the sound of a violin I hear………….no it’s just Greg whinning mate the world is not against you,hey how ya going champ jesus you have sailed into me a bit what about being nice to the new guy:),make me sound bad.
Now I never said anything bad about he big 650 just surprised that you got one(and how much you paid for it),and a little friendly ribbing never hurt,…………or so I thought, you know that a pea can be pushed up a hill with your nose but there are easier ways to get it there that’s why I was surprised that you never got a more enduro orientated bike that’s all.As for friendly advise mate your call,Im no world beater and at the end of the day advise in worth what you paid for it if you know better:).Now you obviously think that you should remember me or my capabilities from doing the Nulla events,I haven’t missed to many of them and I cant remember you there either………..how did you go…………a quick look over your shoulder at the trophy cabinet will give an indication;),I dont want to enter into a pissing contest.was not why I joined so it’s all gooooooood.
The young fellas think that the old bloke wont last the day ha what would they know, most of them think a good ride is doing 100km of dirt road in top gear!!!!!bring on the single track and they love the banter about showering me with rocks and such ,we will see……….hope I dont hurt myself,I hate pain:(.Greg I would be glad to give you a lesson……..but you cant be told anything…and you wont listen:).
Mate the rego thing is a worry, got the wrong bike but wanted something that I could race motox, dirt track and maybe an enduro on and so now I have a yz450 not real smart for the trailrides, anyone got a 03,04,05 WR yammie frame laying around…..I have a plan…… seriously!!
Has anyone had much to do with the Moto-oz tyres, might get a set but a bit pricey,
anyway nice to meet you all…..this could be fun.

I probably raced up there at the same time as you, rode a 94 husky 360 for a round as our 410;s were late arriving into the country, raced out of coffs for Bisho’s,the 360 was a hoot, never seen many of them though,Tim Billings from dorrigo used to pedal one pretty well, are you still in the navy,if you are must nearly run the show by now.

No,I think it folded around 97,the bloke who owned the place died, lack of organizers, insurance you know how it goes and the end result was that it ended,I loved it up there, best terrain that I have ridden or raced on and the other blokes that came from away to race reckoned the same.
Where are you now, where do you ride.
