Thanks TB. Did you just drop into the vets and ask for one or what? I might try a chemist, I think if I tell the vet I need something to crack the nipple and push the fluid from the bottom up they’ll probably arrest me :D

Also mower shops sell one that you use to extract oil from mowers when you need to change the oil. That would be ideal.

Raise bike on stand so you can fit a 4×2 under front wheel. Take steering head nut off, grab front wheel and lift and take out 4×2 wheel on ground exposes lower bearing check and repack with greese.take top bearing and seal out, grab wheel lift back up and place 4×2 under wheel, check repack top bearing and replace seal, replace steering head nut and washer and your done.

Cheers Thanks Boulder at least I got one good response.

my kato manual states that you should only use DOT5.1 fluid, or DOT4 if necessary.

dot5.1 has a wet boil point of 180 degrees C, and dot4 is 25 degrees C lower but will mix with 5.1.

never use DOT5 as it is a silicone based fluid and id dyed purple.

KTM gaskets and brake lines are not designed for dot5 and it should never be used!

    hope this helps fellas

    OMG!

I have just read this post back three times and it is informative, devoid of any sarcasm and makes perfect sense.

    Are you OK Menace? B)

You just had to do it didn’t you STM, I was hoping for our first ever thread that stayed on TOPIC…

    Chris.

Just keeping the dream alive Chris.

I am so close to telling work that I can not go to Vegas so I can get to Louee. I need excuses I can use. DVT is a starting point. Please add.

Hemoroids that explode when in a pressurised enviroment, that’d probably be funny but.
