The good old HOMELITE 2 banger has been going for years no drama’s so far.
Chris.
O.K to get things moving I will put up a stubbie holder and a couple of stickers for the best intro up until 31/01/09.
Chris.
Good pic sirdropalot (I will now call you sir for short), is that the stock tank looks bigger than the ones on a DRZ
Chris.
The more I ride with these the better they get, especially after jumping on a non-pivot pegz bike for a while, I wanted my pivot pegz back, they just keep getting better and better
Chris.
That makes 11 by my calculations good on ya guys!

stainless steel and alloy are not up to the task when it comes to trailers.
an 8×5 would be the best option, but it is a wide trailer
I actually made up chanels from folded 3mm plate. I only needed one in the centre for the front as the corners held the bikes front whell securley. the channels at the back were only long enough to stop the rear wheel moving sideways, these were just bolted through the trailer floor, and to be honest they were not really required as the tailgate stopped them from moving about suffieiently with a rope. another option if space is a concern is the “ezytrailer” I think:unsure: it can be stowed verticaly and takes up little space, quite cheap also.
a bike trailer does its intended job beutifully, but basicly that is all it will do. Get a modified boxy and keep your rego costs down and have the added benefit of being multi functionalB) or get a duel cab ute:laugh:
ollie
A duel cab ute, I was actually considering a Hi-Ace van but kinda lost interest, It would be good for work and is 100% tax deduction. Might still consider it, either way still need a trailer, Am going to have a look at an 8*5

Quote:A 7×5 boxy will fit a 3 bikes in, I know I used to do it every weekend.the trick is in the way you do it.This is how…..
2 bikes;
1. put bike in trailer with wheels in corner of trailer.
2.lift bikes up onto side of trailer yeh it looks funny:laugh:
3.secure your tailgate using the securing bars/lugs or whatever it is that your trailer has
4.lift the back wheel of the bike over so that the bike is straight in the trailer.
5.the bikes rear suspension will compress and shorten the wheelbase length
6.tie in the bikes
7.go ride3 bikes nearly the same deal except the tailgate cant be secured normaly, you just have to tie it up as far as it will go using a rope or whatever.
go riding
ollie
That sounds like a hell of a lot of work!!
Could probably actually just leave it sitting in there permanately.
Chris.
Not to scale but how bout something like the attached PDF.
[file name=biketrailer.pdf size=2454]http://www.obtrailriders.com/media/kunena/attachments/legacy/files/biketrailer.pdf[/file]
Ollie, so if the trailer was an 8*5 you could easily do 3 possibly 4, 1 big bike and 3 minis, then you would not have the tailgate issue, I hadn’t thought of making a frame for it (thanks Rat), I could get a mate of mine to make up a frame to slot into the trailer, so my next question is what would be the lightest metal to use, they do a lot of stainless but probably aluminium would be lighter (excluding CF)..
Cheers
