Ollie have you had any experience with the 290kit, just wondering how much more it gives it.. Not that I need anymore right now but could be in the future. I assume it’s a barrel and piston/rings.

THanks X for posting the jetting and your other advice. Mickust, I put a Pro-Circuit T4 pipe on, however after much research I have found that stock pipe with a different endcap (Have been told the GYTR one) will get you pretty much the same performance as the aftermarket pipe. The only other mods so far is Force Bashplate, Force Radiator Guards, Michelin M12 rear tyre. ANd now the pivot pegz. The 07 and 08 are identical from what I can find out.

    Cheers

Rang Alan on the monday to claim my prize, great guy, after getting my details etc and telling me they will be there next day, I was a bit sceptical (They are in tasmania after all), but what do you know tuesday morning a nice shiny set of pivot pegz turn up at my office. I have them installed now, an easy job and looking forward to riding with them tommorrow.

Thanks Allan for a great product and your exceptional customer service.

    WARNING: Off topic,

Hey X, don’t forget those jetting specs when you get a chance, also I found out why I was popping so bad. After my little head banging incedent I broke the cable that goes into the hot start lever, so I’m guessing it was slightly stuck on.. All fixed now.

    Cheers
    Chris.

P.S. Hey at least I warned you.

Who’d be interested in a group purchase, I’m sure if we can get some quantity Allan will look after us with price. Put your expression of interest in this thread and we’ll see what numbers we can come up with, maybe organise the buy for end of january after christmas etc is over. There you go our first OLD Bull group purchase.

    Cheers

Maybe we should change Moto’s chit chat and dribble to Champos chit chat and drug induced banter. ;) ;)

I only got 4 pics on the Sunday ride. The quality is a bit ordinary my hands were shaking too much after trying to keep up with Kylie.
After Santy Claus visits in 24 days I will have my helmet cam so I should be able to catch a bit more of the action.

I give up I’ve tried to upload the pics that I got on Sunday but I can’t:angry:

Hey DanD, try using photobucket.com, makes life a little easier, You can upload photos their and then just copy/paste the links to the forum.. Sorry I didn’t get to meet you and Kylie but I was kind of in a hurry on the Sunday.

Rain Rain Rain and more rain, a brief letup so Chop and I thought we’d nip out for a quick blat on our new bikes, 10mins into our little excursion and the rain started bucketing down again. Nice!.. Arriving back at camp and awaiting the arrivals of the wauchope boys. Already there were Gilli, Ollie, TB, Chop, Me. Shane, Moto and Champo were not far behind. A great job by TB and Chop setting up the camp site couldn’t have asked for more, although a closed shower would have been good hey Chop. Music was playing and the drinks flowing when in came the wauchope boys, Mick hobbling around on his crutch and acting like it was broken or something, fossil, riderx, moose and others who;s names evade me right now Sorry!. What a great bunch of guys as much as we give them crap about wauchope, they certainly breed some good fellas up that way. Lots of Idle chit chat around the fire, lots of JACK LINKS jerky was had along with beer, rum, scotch and a few cuppas for chop. Cooked up a few snags for dinner and continued drinking till probably around 11.30, I thought we were being over run
by drop bears until I realised it was Ollie snoring in the tent a couple of metres away.. Moto;s tent putting up efforts left something to be desired but he
got it in the end with a little help from Champo. Didn’t sleep much, after the stories around the fire of tree branches falling on unsuspecting campers while they slept, I think I jumped at every little noise I heard and wondering whether that branch was going to fall on TB’s tent.

Saturday morning.. Woke to the sound of Mick crapping on at around 6.00, kept dozing for a while but he didn’t letup, got up to a breakfast of Bacon and egg rolls, Thanks Chop. A couple of visits to the thunder box and all was good.
We geared up to get ready for our ride when Mac and the gang turned up with the spit trailer and the OB trailer, what a legend… After the disclaimers were made by TB we started off on the ride, we had another bunch join in unexpectedly which threw some chaos into our group (guys next time can you wait till our sweep has gone through, it’s common trail courtesy). We then had some of their group and some of our group miced up in their group, Had a laugh with Gilli, when one of them were taking photos of us, the dude had no idea we weren’t with their group. They are probably still trying to work out who it was.. 20 minutes later we hooked back up with our group and all was good, great mix of single, twin and firetrail. TB had a crash, yes TB had a crash, I’m more suprised that he admitted it I thought TB could have bribed fossil I think with a couple of boxes of Jack Links.. Eagle, I have to say welcome to
trailriding, If that was my first real bush ride I probably would have been in the same boat as you, you certainly got chucked in at the deep end, at least now you know what to expect and bring some swimmers next time.. Seriously you will be all the better for the experience.. I had a crash whilst travelling down a narly hill, hit a slippery MF of a tree root and the front tyre dropped out from under me, just so happened the tree next to me didn’t have time to move, banged my head on the side of it which shook me up a bit and took a good while to get some confidence back, More worried about damage to the new bike than me.. Thanks MOTO, Moose, RiderX and Gilli for your concern, it’s all good.. Took a couple of nurofen at the next stop just in case. Later on I got snagged by some vines on the neck brace, luckily they let go before tearing me off the bike, Crash said he had this happen too, maybe something to be cautious of. The rest of the morning ride was awesome great single track, big puddles, narly hills up and down, a stop at Ollies lookout.. The rain held off
for the rest of the morning for us. Heading back, chops DR was boiling and he was a bit concerned, Gilli helping Eagle out, how fit is that Gilli!, riding Eagle’s bike down/up hills and then running back to get his own, Sweep Rider of the Year, I say. I got stuck on a little downhill bit where Champo had his bike parked on the bit where I should have gone through, but instead was trying to get around the outside, stuck between a rock and a log.. Thanks Shane for coming to the rescue. A fairly sedate ride back to camp a quick sandwich with some meat from Mac’s Spit hit the spot – wish I could have had a couple more..

Off I went to John Mellencamp at Bimbagden Winery what a legend that guy is. Sheryl Crow wasn’t half bad either. I missed the Saturday night festivities so can’t comment on that, however congrats to Eagle for winning the jacket and all the others that won prizes on the night..

Special thanks needs to go to our sponsors who generously donated prizes for the night.

Good on ya Champo, Look forward to seeing the rest of the pics, give photobucket a go, resizes automatically and makes life a little easier, I have a few photos but I think the 99.00 ride camera has finally succumbed to the beatings it has taken and most photos are really dark. I’ll put them up tonight anyway, I got home washed bike did my chores and didn’t wake up till 8.00am this morning.

Mekon, I’ve seen dyno charts that puts the KLX250 at about 26HP that’s with Pipe, jetting and 300kit, any ideas what the 450 puts out stock.
