I can’t tell you how upset I am about the potato bake unpleasantness. I am very proud of my potato bake and to find out that DANIEL (yes shouting) didn’t cook it long enough is a travesty!

I even wrote out instructions about how long to cook it for and how to tell if it was actually cooked.

    Not happy Dan

BTW me and the girls went to watch an ice hockey game (hence why I didn’t put the potato bake in the oven) and it was absolutely awesome. My throat is sore today from all the yelling and it was just so exciting. I know nothing about ice hockey but I did know that one team had to get the puck down the goals at the other end but jeez they made it interesting. I lost count of how many punches got thrown on the ice.

P.S. Dan – next time (which there won’t be a next time because I can’t risk you tarnishing my reputation again, sound familar TB with the sign on debarcle) when you check if the potatoes are cooked make sure you put the knife in the potates. Not in the space between the potatoes to the bottom of the dish

The shame Daniel the shame, you should be riding red now… Sounds like a top ride, can’t wait for next weekend, I have a bed at the Beagles probably won’t get up there till 6-7pm on the saturday evening.

    Cheers
    Chris.

Well, as of the 21st July I have owened my bike exactly one year. It was my first enduro bike and my first bike after my road bike way back in 1998. How time flies…..

It has been an excellent year and my 08′ KTM 450 has been a worthy steed. We’ve had some great times together and through my new passion I have met many new people, all of which I consider to be my friends. It has also led me to this great site and the fun and games that come as part of being an Old Bull.

Stuck on this ship with lots of spare time to ponder the last 12 months I have realised that in my first year I have done many types of rides, covered almost 5000K’s and even had my first and second bike related surgery’s :P

In total I have spent 4 months off the bike this year (injury and work as the cause), so practical experience is only really about 8 months. I have come along way from the days of being nervous about raising the front wheel off the ground in 1st gear and almost pooping my panties when I managed to break traction with the rear wheel pulling a little power slide on the firetrail :P

Here’s to many more years of riding for me, all of you OBT’ers and to continued friendships.

    Happy trails :)

Moto I am impressed, a well written, thought of entertaining post that ship must be rattling your brain… Na Good Post.

Since I known TB the talk of getting a new bike has gone from a stern obsession to keep the fiddy as it’s the best bike in the world to talking baout the possibilities of the bike he would buy next.

I wonder how long it will be until the inevitable happens? ;)

    PS – There’s a CR500E on eBay at the minute :P

    PPS – Crash – You’re a unit!!

OK again for the dummies!

I dont want another bike I would hate to buy another bike but if I had to buy another bike, like if my was stolen or the likes I would more than likely buy a 300 or large size smoker main reason cheap running costs like my XR

I love my bike and am happy how it does everything, no matter where I ride it, it does everything I want, it holds its own with everyone in the trees at Orange, it does every style of riding be it single line in the pines or 160kph in the paddocks of the Condo 750 and I dont seem to be holding many people up and it gets me past Ollie everytime I have come up behind him :P nah seriuosly its everything I want ;) I have different tanks, spare wheels etc etc etc Yeah would hate to buy another bike

    TB

What if Honda came out with a new 650 would you buy one?

Why would you worry Chris? You current bike isn’t made in Australai and you can get parts for it can’t you?

You should also remember that 85% of the Berg is made up from KTM parts. Just go to a deal;er and have a look for yourself :)

But theres a lot more yamahas around than bergs, what about the aftermarket market, I don’t think there would be as much available but I could be wrong I usually am. :P

    Cheers

    P.S when are you back.

i can feel a song coming on about boony and eagle

What about one for booby and menace I’ll have to re-invigorate the inner lyricist!

O.K a really quick one to the music of Beverley Hillbillies,

Come and listen to a story about a man named boony
A poor drz rider, barely kept his family fed,
Then one day he was shootin up some roost,
And up through the ground came a bubblin’ menace.

menace that is, ktm gold, nice tight buns.

Well the first thing you know ol’ boonys in like flynn,
eagle said menace move away from there
Said Nundle is the place you ought to be
So they zipped up their pants and moved to nundley.

    Hills, that is.
Swimmin pools, movie stars, gay rights.

Well now its time to say good-bye to boony and all his kin.
And he would like to thank you folks fer kindly shafting him
You’re all invited back again to this locality
To have a heapin helpin of their hospitality

Man Love that is. Set a spell. Take your clothes off. Y’all come back now, y’hear?
