Well i am happy to add to this thread and give you my personal experience. Most people know here know i ride a DRZ400 and i love the old girl. she can up the pace when i want it to she can cruise along when i need it to comfy and at the end of the day i feel pretty good. i service it every 500k’s, wash it, silcone spray it, sits in the shed on a trickel charge till i ride it again. LOVE that bike.

Now as a few of you know Nato my brother brought him self a gasgas 300ec it had a few issues when it arrived and was all fixed up by me and this required pulling every single bold out of it bar the tripple clamps. So i thought i would take it to coffs with me yesterday to give it a shake down so it didnt fail on him next weekend. It is a shit load of fun when you got it on song and getting into it but thats where it stopped for me. I found that it didnt like to just cruise along and i am about as fit as lets say TB :P so i can’t ride it on song all day long. but my biggest issue by far was the fuel range and yes i have seen axel gets 110k’s out of a tank but i can tell you all right here right now that the tank was full to the brim and i think its 9.5lt and i hit reserve at 71.4ks after singles and the widow maker ;) so i took main roads back down to woopi and that was about another 15k’s and it was empty so i put my spare 1lt in and put it back on the trailer.
Now please don’t get me wrong the 300 was fun but not my idea of a TRAIL bike and today as of 9.12am i feel like i was first prize in a gay mardi gra raffle. :( :(

Buy a DRZ if you want something low maintance and a perfect allrounder or buy a 450 if you want something with sting and high maintance. or if you want a ass pounding and to be F@#KED at the end of a day buy the 2 smoker. or head to the gym and start working out. i under stand how Mal5.1 and ollie do it. Mal is fit and ollie is in the navy

All this is only my opinion

I’ve prepared for Coffs by not fitting new tyres. I can’t hold onto my bike as it is now let alone with any more grip!

Will I be an outcast if I don’t consume alcohol? My body is a temple and I don’t want to taint it under the strain of peer pressure. You know how it is……

Will there be a best flip award for the Widowmaker? I could do with a prize!

Sounds like your good to go mate
Don’t worry about the drinking, I can’t remember anyone getting messy last year
