Good luck mate, have a great ride.

I can’t imagine you going slow for too long ;)

Yep well i guess we might have gotten 2k’s into the bush before we got a little loose :P

Was GREAT tobe back on the bike and back in the bush and even better to be doing it all with the old man as well who still has a bit of pace about him.

mind you the leg injury was in the back of my mind the whole time but it is all good.

STM and I are going to ride on of the loops for this ride today , conditions here are perfect and I can’t wait! :woohoo:

The idea is for me to learn the loop I will be leading as I have only ridden it a few times and 55 km of singletrack with lots of junctions is taking a while to sink in. the last thing I want to do is lead 15 Old Bulls up the wrong trail !! so I’m going to plot it to GPS today and hope we don’t find ourselves halfway up 2 step hill (grade 4.9 hill  ) on the day !!

Are we not doing the hill with the rock shelf at the top?

Well one of the things that was dead on my KLX when i got it was the Battery but i have a kick starter LMAO

I looked at every which battery out there from the most expensive around $180 down to the $49 and when looking at them they all come with 12 months warranty but the $49 had 130CCA compaired to the expencive 110CCA so i hit ebay and put the $49 job in the girl.

I also keep it plugged in when it is in the shed to a trickle charger to keeps it life.

    STM

Oh don’t worry about the old man he will be loading the trailer a week in advance i think LOL

He is a s keen as they come, 5 months of the bike with a tender leg i think i might hang mid pack and take it easy

in reply to: Coffs Coast Nov 27 & 28th #189240

    Hi Andrew
You should look for a WR450 from around the 05 vintage. There are plenty out there, super reliable and easy to source parts should you need them. Not as many herbs as your 600 but it will be lighter and it has the magic button.

    Cheers
    STM

plus one on that advice ;)

Sorry Andrew some times STM gets a little confused what he was suppose to say is KLX450r you can not go wrong :P

BTW the JR50 is too cheap. Every one will think there is something wrong with it!!

What would you put on it then?

Dont listen to him Corey, he is to dear and sells crap I have been there  (see laugh Mick, joking :P ) Check your price via e bay, bike point, trading post etc Corey as long as you are happy with it and never listen to those that say afterwards you could have, should have

    TB

I brought it 12 months ago for that price after talking him down from $1000 so i am happy with getting what i payed unless Mick wants to pay me more for it ;) saves him looking for a oil bottle after he crashed his other. How does he handle the extra 600cc if he can’t handle a 50
