hey corey did you buy your KLX new? what did you pay for her?

    Al,

I can’t add much more than what the more experienced fellas already said but I have to agree with Mick’s Logic.. If you liked Coreys KLX go for it I say…

I picked her up april last year for $7600 and i added the 12.5lt tank to it because the stock 8lt sucks when you got a 5lt bottle on your back around taylors arm

Bigger AL you certainly handled that KLX well on the ride that i saw. I think it all depends how much time you want to spend on maintainence. The current crop of KLX WR CRFX EXC etc certainly handle the type of riding like on the week end well but at a cost. I think i spend just as much time maintainng the thing as i do riding it. The DRZ certainly has filled the gapng hole that the XR 400 left(?WR450R where is it?). Although it still requires regular maintainence its really the only thing that you could live with on a daily ride that wouldnt keep you in the shed for every other hour. I sugest that you don’t only ride tat thing of Cory’s but do all the work on it too until his leg is fixed(and maybe a little longer). Dont know what Cory will think of that? If you ride the DRZ back to back with the KLX it is obvious which one you would like better but it is the other side of ownership that could change things.Try taking the KLX and the DRZ on the Camerons Corner ride and see who comes out on top?

I use to own a DRZ400 now have the KLX450 and i can say i change the oil in both ever 500k’s and filter every 1000k’s and have not put a tool to it other then the tank mod’s and the stupid speedo sensor i keep breaking some how but not sure how i am doing it.

The KLX450 apparently requires far less maintenance than it’s comparable 450 brethren Aaron, KLX450 riders I have spoken with are talking DRZ like reliability and maintenance schedules.

    Crikey did I just defend a 4T???

It was good to have chat with you before the ride and even better to see you man- handle that klx round the loops,
when Corey is back on track we will have to catch up for a ride with STM or up at my place, either way I hope it’s soon!!

    Nickj

I was thinking nick that maybe you guys could catch up soon at STM’s and maybe you and dad can swap bikes around as he is torn on what bike he wants if thats ok with you playing on my KLX?
