Word of advice TB, go in Winter  Man it got hot in those gullies!! Then again it would get pretty cool up at the 770 meter mark in winter!!

I refuse to go riding in winter out there again as it is way to cold. you forgetting the bleeding nipple story

    Day 2

saw Naathan and i show up at the pub around 8.30 where the boys looking a little seeded were waiting for us along with TDriver who is our newest coffs harbour resedent.

We set out from the pub heading west which saw us on a trail that looked like it hadn’t been used since we last used it back in april. we stopped as i got the camera out for a few pic’s of the boys coming down a step hill before heading on to the lookout.

There we had a good look at the veiw and saw one of the trusty XR’s getting the tools taken to her for a few running repairs before heading off on to jaccobs ladder trail which is a long rock hill but heap of fun.

after that we had a trail i guess around 8 – 10k’s long that saw myself and Moose cracking them open and sitting in the triple figures for most of the trail (i think i topped out at around 129) mind you by the end of it the big XR was not still sitting right on my arse but not to far back at all.

We then headed down a road that is closed to 4WDs so the track had a few logs and shit on it that we had to be carefull and look out for and thank god i did with a tree at a bad angle on a blind corner could have spelt trouble.

After a drink and photo shoot at the New England national park sign we headed down a 4wd road that is fast free flowing and has a great hill at the end of it that i thought would be easy for this guys but it was a little more slippery then i thought.

THE HILL – well i got there first and rode half way up and got my camera out so i could get photos of some great action shoots and well didn’t i get them. i had moose showing me that 600’s do a great back flip i had mick showing me that the weight of the big girl will bend a brake lever bad and send you rolling down a hill with out the bike and then i had tripper showing me why i shouldn’t buy a retread (sorry mate).

after a couple of more goes moose was 1m short of the top and mick was sitting beside me at the half way mark where there was a little pull off area so while mick needed the pad to get his bike going i took the KLX down the hill and rode it to the top to help moose get it up that last meter. while mick had trouble starting the big 650 i walked down to help him push it out but it fired as i got to him and he made it up the rest of the hill. (thanks for making me walk down the hill mick for nothing LOL)
then the rest of the crew showed up and as i watched as tripper got the 630 to that half way mark the rest were not going well so i walked back up the hill to get my helmet and headed down the hill to try my luck with tdriver wr450 and with a little air out of the tyre i rode it up with a little bit of fun at the top. Then i walked down to tripper where he asked me to have a go so i took the 630 down to the bottem and gave the bigger girl a couple of runs at the hill and left it at the top for him but was the hardest to get there.
back down the hill to fetch the other wr450 of nathans. was getting sick of walking down this hill by now so i sat for a bit waiting to see what boags had in him and he tried and tried and tried again i have got to give it to him for trying and after a little advice to boags he made it look easy.

After that we headed back to the pub and in that 20 minute ride back we rode through water washed roads still full of water to washed out main roads to speed way style roads before we hit tar and the big 650 felt it needed to show me it’s boss by flying past me motard style around the corners.

All in all i hope the boys enjoyed the ride as we clocked up around 230k’s for the weekend and every one is still going with no injurys well not to bodys any way some bikes might need a little look at.

Thanks heaps to Nathan, Mick, Moose, boags, tripper and tdriver for making it a great weekend

Nothing better then shit stiring guys with penis extending bikes LMAO

9-15 year old bikes are penis extenders??? Hmmmmmm dunno about that :S I’d be more inclined to think the latest 12- $14000 wizz bang graphic covered 450’s would come into that catagory more so than a poor old XR.

Its all about the size of the motor  Benn that way for decades hasn’t it.

Just stiring guys i love the big old  XR’s

Just posted the weather report so everyone knows how we will go, as far as rider comfort is concerned.

Could be interesting seeing some of the rocks coming out the back of these 2 wheels tractors LOL
