Ok so we head out on a ride around today to plan this trip and first plan was to do both western side and eastern side on the Saturday and play at Yarrahappini on Sunday. But after todays 200k’s + i say fark that.

We started around 8.30 and stop for 30 minutes or so for lunch and a few stops in the bush of coarse and finish around 5ish and we were all very very tired after that not to mention very very very hot. the hills are not in to bad a condition as you can still get up them LOL but gets a little rocky then a little dusty and then there was mud and every other thing you could ask for in a ride :)

So was thinking about kicking off around 8 on Saturday and doing eastern side which we should be finished around 1ish in time for a pub meal then if it’s any thing like today head to either the creek or my place for the pool. Or head up to a look out close by for an easy hours ride then back to the pub so peoples can get into a soft drink or to

Then on Sunday head out the western side and do it which is a fun and can be very fast 100k’s or so before getting back to the pub around lunch time so you can all start packing up to head home.

If any one wants to do any thing else in there like more riding instead of drinking then let me know but it was so hot today i think drinks will win the arvo’s LOL

OK for every one involved we have a HUGE problem on our hands. Our lead ride and only one that truly knows his way around is now OUT as he is racing in QLD that weekend.

So what the plan is for me now is to have a trial run around Taylors arm this weekend to see if we can remember how to do the loops.

Then we could go play over and play maybe at Valla or Yarrahapinni as well.

I’d like to keep it to TAylors arm but not sure about it all and don’t want to put on the worst ride of 2010.

    Any ones thoughts?

Hey Corey, I think it is a good idea for her to see how she likes it before buying another bike but if she likes it and you do buy one I can definetly recommend a motard DRZ400. They are sooooo much fun. :)

In saying that I have only ever ridden a sports bike once (and it didn’t really excite me that much) so I don’t have much to compare it too.

Corey I took my DR out yesterday and did 170kms on it and I now need to revise my comment above to ‘They are sooooooooooooooooooo much fun’.

It is just sooooooooooooo sweet to ride. I’m sure if she had a go on something like this she would love it.

Kylie i’m the one that would love the DRZ in motard trim. I had 1 and love the bike and wish i kept it to do what you have done but needed funds for the KLX450 so she had to go but i have talked Sally into trying a dirt bike over a roady

My bride went through the riders course and now has a bike license :)
She had a TTR 230 for a couple of years and even though it was fun to have the other half out on the trails it was always a worry when she fell off
My young fella stopped coming out with us due to the slower pace and boring tracks we took :(
After a while the fad passed and her bike sat in the shed for 12 months so we sold it ;)
Good luck with it all Corey8
    Cheers

Thnx murph but as i said she wants a road bike as she has no intrest in the bush which is fine by me.

Might look into those coarses today i think every one

My mate bought me one of these and it’s been good. Noisey as anything when you unfold it in a rush at 5am outside the neighbours window and is more than capable of handling the bike. What does a golf cart weigh?

Not sure on there weight but i know the hire ones are light enough to get air bourne over a tee box :cheer:

Couple of good ideas in there fellas i might start with Whipps as they are 45 minutes away but i’ll give Mal a yell if i have no joy
