Hi all
Thank you for letting me join in – rightly albeit briefly. It was great to meet you all and good to say gday over lunch rather than saying gday over a broken leg. Aidan also passes on his regards – he could not get along as he was preparing for his two week holiday in Ireland – like you I am geussing that means he was drinking instead of driving on Sunday.

Anyway a few points:
– whilst only with you a little while I surprised myself how well I managed to hang on [bit of luck there]
– I had trouble finding the meeting spot hence being a few mins late – sorry about that
– I had a fun ride home – I rode down some dirt roads to Portes Retreat then on to Goulbourn road – then Wombeyan Caves turn off – then out to Mittagong via Caves and then home – southern suburbs of Syd – 450klms plus day – that took a little longer than I expected

Know I cant join in most of your rides but hopefully I will be able to find a way to join some in on some of your catch ups…

Hi a sort of expression of interest…..I am planning to ride up for a day trip, hit some of the easier trails and drop by and say hello at lunchtime – I met some of you when you assisted Aidan. I will be on my GS so most probably not suitable for all of your ride – but I can have some fun nearby and drop and in and say gday at lunchtime – hope thats ok Craig

Having ridden to Qld and back recently on a beemer you appear to have the expertise to answer…

Well heres the rub – is a big beemer too big for this excursion – it passes the fuel test but I an thinking may be too big for some of the single tracks ? Having ridden to Qld and back what do you think ? To recap the bike is a 1200 240kg sometimes referred to as pigs…

On looking at past trips some tracks are a definite no [around the watagans for example] versus others like the zig zag to hillend ride seem more doable [based on the pictures and my limited past expereinec ?].

Anyway what do you think ?

seems it all got too much for aidan to write anything in his last post – wonder which pain it was – was it his new found damaged leg – or the mental vision of everyone having so much fun without him !
