Will have to look out for it.
Happy birthday TB hope you had a good one
Thanks Jeffro. I found the 2015 Australian launch at Coffs. That is perfect for what I need.
Thanks Toes. Just what I needed.

I pick up a second hand DRZ-400 on Tuesday. 😆
Now all I need is to find time to ride the thing. :unsure:November 9, 2014 at 10:14 pm in reply to: I have booked my first dirt bike ride in about twelve years #260158BOLLOCKS wrote:Well done Craig :cheer: :cheer: :cheer: Thanks Bollocks

November 6, 2014 at 10:10 pm in reply to: I have booked my first dirt bike ride in about twelve years #260046well we had our ride on Tuesday and Wednesday.
We set off from Blackheath early in the morning and ended up in Kelso for the night.
via Cullen Bullen and Sofala.
The second day saw us making our way back to Blackheath via Janolan Caves.
All up I think we covered about 550Km’s which I know is not a lot compared to some rides but it was enough for us.
As I said in the original post I haven’t been on a dirt bike in about 15 years and Mal has had very limited experience off road, (almost none).
To his credit TB was very patient with us. He kept saying he was enjoying himself because he usually goes through the same places at a greater speed and now he had a chance to actually look around. He even was able to bullshit to us with a smile on his face. :cheer:
The impression that TB left on Mal was pretty strong he mentioned something about finding a new person to stalk. 😆
I could not fault the little WR’s. They were great and the perfect bike for what we were doing. The set up with the suspension, gearing etc was very impressive. We had a good mix of dirt roads, tight tracks and some very challenging slow sections. Even the sealed roads we had to ride on were all twisties and fast sweepers.
There were a couple of off’s but I think given our lack of experience that was to be expected.
Early on day one I even managed to get TB to fix my back wheel. I was not paying too much attention but he removed the wheel, broke the seal on the tyre and reset it and replaced every thing in what seemed like less than ten minutes. We were at a servo in Capertee and believe it or not they did not have an air pump so Greg had to inflate the tyre manually.
So far everyone I have spoken to after the ride are sick of listening to me carry on about it.
Was it good? no it was great.
I can not recommend RideADV enough they are very professional and TB made sure we had the best possible time.
If any one is looking to do some thing like this then you need to get in contact with RideADV.TB has some pictures so hopefully he will be along to put some up soon.
I knew Margaret and Peter some time ago and found them both to be the sterotypical older couple. It was easy to warm to margaret and I had and still have alot of respect for her.
I am very saddened to hear about her passing. My condolences go out to Peter, Rory and his sisters along with every one who had the pleasure to know her.Deejay.
I hope you had a great birthday.
Craig. The same thing happened to me some years ago in Yamba. The only difference was I was on a Jetski. I still shat myself though. Then the little bastards wouldn”t leave me alone. I was worried I would hit them they kept getting so close.
In a previous life I used to deal with many motorcycle shops for work. Rock Motorcycles included. The family businesses are usually the best especially when they get to know you.
I can honestly say It was always a pleasure dealing with Peter and Margret (infact the whole family).
The fact that Rory responded to your email and offered a resolution goes along way to showing their integrity. You should judge a company on how they react when solving a problem not when things go well.
As for charging to fit the tube. They have to pay their workshop and they are providing a service so that is fair.Looks cool. I want one too.
We have Chooks at home and my biggest fear is the kids leaving the back door open. Hopefully I don’t get to feel your pain.
I just registered my ZRX1200. The green slip was $689.
I shopped around and most were over $900.
When I rang to question why the price had gone up $80 I was told all green slips went up last Feb due to some government bullsh*t.
At this rate it will not be worth me keeping the bike as I don’t ride it that much any way.
I may have to look at a smaller cc maybe the Triumph 800. It looks like it can do almost everything.Happy Birthday for yesterday Dee Jay.
