Thanks Guru, I was wondering, thinking that’s why he didn’t make the first checkpoint.
Bugger!
Good to hear he’s OK.
Also good to see a few Aussies around the fifties & Diener around 70th.

What’s with tight-arse Strucky? He can’t even tap the keyboard an extra time & put a ‘h’ in your name. The Kings’ getting lazy!! Decree a minion to repair said error your highness!
Well done STM, nothing as good as giving it a crack yourself!
Good luck & keep us all up to date with what’s going on.

That’s shocking news Mr Squiggle, I’m sure I write for everyone when I type that our Best Wishes & Thoughts are with Merlyn on a thorough & speedy recovery. It must have been very stressful for you & Hopper too! After 2 & a half days of riding & 700+kms to be confronted with that situation.
It was a great few days, some brilliant country & tracks. Thanks to the Guru for putting it all together. Thanks also must go to Yamaha for their continued support. How good is it to see hands on representation of a top product. Also, thanks to Steve from Adventuremoto – the backup & extensive contributions you make to these rides are much appreciated! Thanks to all whom drove & passengered along as well.
Thanks to the fuel & food shop at Burraga & the Woodstock Hotel – give them a bit of business whenever you can!A huge crew, great banter, beaut food & drink, terrific tracks, top weather, no big problems (until after the ride finished)……what more would you want?
Thanks again to all

November 10, 2013 at 8:52 pm in reply to: What did you see today thread, see something tell everybody #251643I saw a young bloke, 20 years old, win the 2013 MotoGP World Championship!
Unbelievable! In a year he also came off at 300kmph in the wet, he came off plenty, just like Stoners first year.
So, at 20, he’s been World Champion in Moto3, Moto2 & now MotoGP…………..how good will he be?
Only time will tell!
Well done Mark Marquez

Hi Jim,
The Lifeproof iPhone cover is dust & waterproof and has a mount setup that’s been on my Tenere for about 8000kms without a problem.
As for a GPS, unfortunately I think you only get what you pay for!
I had an old Garmin Etrex legend many many years ago. The support I received well after the warranty expired meant I didn’t hesitate in purchasing a 62s earlier this year. It’s been a good little unit. The Zumo 220 has been good too. These have done the same mileage without a problem.

Ps the Zumo doubles as the family trucksters’ Gps when requiredDon’t you drain the bar you early starting Bad Boy! Leave some for us tryhards!
Bastard……..
How good does that look?
That reminds me, I’ve still got more stuff!
Hey Gazza55,
My time on an Adventure bike is rather limited, however, I did a fair bit of homework & talked to those I thought would know.
I was surprised at how comfortable the XTZ660 Tenere was on the 5000km + trip we did in May this year. Fatigue & discomfort was never an issue. The bike was also very maneuverable & capable of carrying a load.
I reckon they’re the pick of the bunch…..not too heavy, enough power, good fuel economy & can handle the rough stuff well (after a teknik suspension mod.)

What’s going on here Spud?
Another year older……..maybe you should lose 200cc & sit back with the kids!Crash
Congrats Mal,
You certainly got your moneys’ worth out of the GG. I’d be interested in seeing your opinion of the difference between 300cc’s going Bang on every stroke compared to 300cc’s going Bang on every 2nd stroke!
CrashI reckon TBs’ on the money.
Either not stripped & cleaned out properly last time or something is starting to develop.
What caused the last failure Bol? Standard 450’s don’t grenade.
CrashGreat report OFBM, not sure if there was enough detail in there though
Gee, you’ve covered some territory this year, you’ll smash 10000km before years end no doubt.
Thanks
CrashDoes Fish need me to have a look at his ankle?
I mean, he might be ok to finish the ride if I can make a few adjustments!
