just kidding alexLast weekend was certainly an eye opener for me, that’s for sure! You can just launch into those steep downhills on those little 250/300s and throw them around wherever you want. And if need be….you can actually stop them!!!! (without dropping the blade and ripper when your on a 650!)
You do have to ring their little necks though. With Rocket always demanding “more singles, more singles”………..I think he now has a steed that will send him through even quicker than before!!! I hope me and the 650 don’t hold him up too much!
Although, I think his first purchase should be one of those (insert sponsor plug here) Whipps frame mounted expansion chamber protection cages
Good luck with it Rocket, well done.

The Old King is dead…………Long live the better looking, younger, balder, swaheely speaking New King……KING STM! well done mate, well deserved
Another terrific weekend. How well do TB, Chris, Mal, STM & Mick organise a Ride and Do!
It was also good to see all the newbys, they seemed to enjoy themselves! We didn’t lose any, which is always good for the OB reputation.
Really good to catch up with the old hard heads too!
Bad luck Mike, glad to hear your on the mend!
Thanks to all the Sponsors…….
Tekniks, Suttos, Jacks Links, Adventure Moto, Whipps, DirtbikeDeals, 4bp, MudnTar, Pivot Pegz
Thanks to DR D for the lend of the 300………sweet machine that.
I had a great time…………..still trying to erase the image of TBs’ arse trying to escape from his ripped jeans though!!!
Thanks Donna for your help with wood, water etc.
Excellent auction call Bol.
How surprising was it to see Rocket on a 300….OR….Ollie on a 650! good on ’em.
What perfect weather too……….nice and cool & no rain.
Love that SUNNY CORNER LOAM!

Also, I now have a spare seat if someone needs a lift.

Wonder if he will enjoy the ride?? Time to own up XR riderHappy for everyone to know………….. I reckon I’ll have a great time on the 300!!
Not so happy for everyone to know……………that after over 18,500km, 1 of the 4 little aluminium casting posts on my clutch basket cracked off on Micks Birthday ride weekend. This allowed the bolt head to move out, rub on the cover plate and put magnesium shavings through the lubrication system.
I reckon a 2005 XR650R is a pretty special bit of gear that I’ll have forever, so, I’m getting it fixed properly. It has been striped and checked out. Fortunately the magnesium hasn’t done damage to gears/housings etc. The multiple filter screens and oil filter caught alot of the metal filings.
So, ……Gearbox wise – in goes new bearings/seals/gaskets. Engine wise – in goes a new timing chain, waterpump, hoses, piston/rings/bearing/gaskets/seals and x2 inlet valves in the head.Certainly a pity to open her up………but, that’s machines for you!

Is there going to be a Nundle ride this year?
If so, when might it be?
Or have I missed a date? Sorry if I have.

Dickie wrote:Enjoyed Moto2, forgotten his name already, but in just is forth race at 16 managed to pull off a win.Whats the story with Kasey punching out some dude and getting fined $5k?
Dickie,
He is Repsol Hondas’ Marc Marquez.
He won the 125cc Championship last year and has only riden 50 races all up!
He hasn’t finished a race this year until last night.PS. Karma caught up with De Puniet…….he came down on his own during the race. (he’s OK)
Badbowie, As for an opinion on the Simoncelli incident………..My opinion is that a ride through penalty wasn’t warranted. The cutting in front of Podrosa looked pretty bad on 1 hand, but on the other, Simoncelli clearly out braked him into the corner out wide and took the clear track in front of him. Podrosa wasn’t in tight on the apex and seemed to be starting to stand his bike up as he clipped the back wheel. I don’t know enough to argue either way, but am quite willing to go along with Daryl Beattie whose experience with all things MotoGP is pretty hard to ignore…………He reckons it’s a racing incident and did not deserve a penalty!!

G’day Marty 400,
I’m just down the road near the nuclear reactor.

Are you back yet badbowie and sb_250y?
It’s so hard to get any info! The Condo website still hasn’t changed since before the race started? And now it’s Monday!
TB said after Day 1 Rod Faggotter was leading and SB had finished safe and sound!
What can you tell us about Day 2 and how it all ended up? Any info appreciated.

Never done it myself……..But talking people that have and reading/ watching stuff tells me you wouldn’t get any better advice than what Badbowie has told you!
Bugger all that fitness stuff…..you’ll never be better prepared if you just ride your bike…………., ride your bike in sand, ride your bike some more and then to top it off…..ride your bike in sand!!!!
The more time you spend on the bike working the exact muscle groups you’ll be using and regularly pushing yourself physically and mentally………the better prepared you’ll be.
Smash it up!!!!!
