I think I have written or said this before somehere. My only experience with them is down in the Snowys last year, I had a good ride of one and it felt very light and easy to maneuver. But I couldn’t believe the amount of vibration that it sent up through my boots into my legs. incredible! Also, after the trip on the trailer to Thredbo, both these 510’s had leaking fork seals – I think Scott ‘batman’ has had some experience with their forks too.
I reckon the follow up model to the current Husaberg 570 might be a good machine to consider. Ghostrider told me the other day that a bloke that bought a KLX450 just before he bought his, has just traded it in on a 570. He said it steers sooooo much better than his KLX ever did and the power is brilliant.
    Anyhow, just a few thoughts

    Good work Rocket!

That’s good company to be in, Ben won the H3 class at the Condo 750 this year and came 3rd outright!

Are you just warming up and checking out the terrain in preparation to take the ‘Perpetual Old Bull Yellow Mountain Trophy’ off Gili this year?

If it hasn’t been laying in the river for an extended period of time or you haven’t tried to clutch start it down a hill, then, there wouldn’t be any need to pull it down.
I’d just put it on the back wheel and drain any water out of it. Then, just take the plug out and spray the plug and lead with WD40 or eviquivelant, then kick it over. Stick the plug back in, then take the air filter out and try to start it.
Note: for some reason, Dr D’s ktm300 started the strongest every time on the manual kick start, not the electric leg!
    Things should be fine.

You would have topped it off perfectly, if you’d gone back to the misses and said “you wouldn’t beleive it darling, I just bought a helmet and boots for $390.00, how good was that????”

I think Moto is more Aussie than he’d like to admit…it’s obvious he was on a ‘birthday promise’.
It’s not every day you turn 30 (or there abouts). His day of passion with the ‘loved one’ was more important to him than a day with the ‘Bulls’. He’d rather a sore front than a sore rear…so to speak!!!!!!!!!!

Oi, you blokes. You are very funny! I’ve just read through all your ramblings. The ‘double onton’ (or however you spell it) is brilliant. I was giggling like a schoolgirl. How good is it to finish a days work, come home, crack a beer/ rum and read through some light, meaningless funny stuff. Well done, Keep it up!

Ollie, do any of the bikes in your massive shed work in any place other than the Wattos? I reckon you take them off the trailer at the Pines, kick ’em in the guts like a thoroughbred and just hold on…..the bike just knows where to go on its own!

The things some people do for a Helicopter ride!

I hope the leg with the new 12″ plate modification is a little more solid than the ‘ragdoll’ model I saw on Sunday!

It doesn’t take much to hurt yourself, that’s for sure. I punched a branch straight through my boot and into my leg last year. It was such an inocculus little incident. No excessive speed, no moment leading up to it…..just a BANG….then pain…..then a sloshy feeling in my boot. Then months and months until it was good enough to walk properly. So don’t beat yourself up about it…..Shit happens!

Good on you TB and Chop. An at ease mind will help the body heal just that little bit faster.

    Hope to see you soon
