    Nice write up Galey!

Here’s some footage, nothing great, but you get a sense of how wet it was & what the wider stuff was like…..sorry it’s taken so long!

Storm hit with lightening, thunder & rain waking me up on the lounge around 2am. Went to bed – raining.
    Up early – still raining
Drove to LC’s & loaded up – still raining
Drove an hour or so South, fuelled body, emptied body :pinch: – still raining
Arrived at Paulys – NO RAIN :cheer:
His place looked like a cross between the local bike shop and a Hare Krisna convention!!! ORANGE EVERYWHERE !!!
    7 KTM’s of the 9 bikes there!!
Said our G’days, suited up & away we went!
We started off nice and easy, everybody dodging as much water as possible to start with, Crikey there was some water on the ground. We had a bit of a wait not far in……..I think one of those 300s’ airboxes might have detected high humidity in a creek or something, not sure.
The riding was brilliant. Once again, just like Wauchope, our ‘tour operator’, had picked some great tracks. Seemlessly linking up all different types of terrain. We had fast sandy twin, really technical slow single, wide open fire trail, relatively new single that was in need of a trim (luck Hatto went first & absorbed all the water droplets off the plants – thanks mate – he would wring out his jersey etc at the end of each run
We had a couple of rippa uphills & a memorable switchback upon switchback steep desent downhill (Murph would have loved it) that had Pauly going off big time at the bottom. Very funny. There was a few runs along the various sections of Powerlines. A few slippery exits & climbs from creeks too. One beauty saw Hatto ripped clean off his bike when vine hooked under his helmet. It cut up his lip a bit, but he was OK. We cleared the vines & everyone tractored up. Except for me. I struggled to get grip up out of this section. So, the boys gave me a few pushes & got out of there. I soon learned that 2 gear was the secret (thanks LC) – even on the Runt(250). It sure was hot & steamy in places – the camera was fogging up a fair bit, but I think I got some decent footage to show you all what the terrain was like.

    That will do for now.

A big thanks Hatto & Pauly. It was great to ride with LC, Marty, Galey, Gocman.

I rode the KTM TB had at Wauchope on the grass track. It was a brilliant machine. The suspension over the various humps when your weight was coming off was excellent – it wasn’t kicking at all. You could change line, flip/ flop direction at the drop of your hat. Under power, it was tracking out of the corners, following the terrain perfectly. The power was excellent. I couldn’t fault it.
The power/torque wasn’t near the XR650 – but the ability to stop leaves the D11 of bikes (XR650) for dead.
    It was a great ride.
