I will qualify that I do sell the above chains for a living. The 520EXW is a great chain designed specifically for 250 through to 650 Enduro bikes. Hence the name EXW (Enduro XW ring). We get plenty of miles out of them and in the 8 plus years since this chain has been out I’ve never done a chain warranty or had any questions over durability. Most recently I’ve been running one on my 690 with about 5000k of road and offroad and it’s barely needed an adjustment.
Put me down TB, it’s the quick or the dead as they say.
BTW – the custom typed message worked fine.
Check these images TB. I might do another one today and see if it does it again
OK so I have finally set up my spot connect. Wasn’t to much of a drama. I even found a promo code online for free tracking for 12 months and saved myself $50USD. Although it had to process my credit card number twice for some reason. Anyway I decided to give it a test by sending a predefined message.
Well the wrong message came through to my wifes’ phone. Instead of
“All OK – Just got here”
She received
“Broken down – call when I can”
So as you can see I was a little surprised. Anyone else had the wrong message come through on their spot before. I’m now sending a typed message to see if that works.
Glad I read this thread. Made a phone call and just found out that my private health fund will pay $200 per brace. Boom.
You’ve got to appreciate talent like that. I think i may save a few pennys and send Mrs squiggle my lid.
I think Grabbo’s been mentally affected by his big crash last year. He was basically split in half and then sewn back together. Can’t blame him…. Hopefully the same doesn’t happen to Toby.
I just did a big muddy trail ride out ar Cobar a couple of weeks ago. There was a bunch of CRF450R 2013’s with the air forks. Several of them blew fork seals and the front ends collapsed. Not completely but they were sitting half way through the stroke, Rendering them unable to finish the ride. On a motocross track not a problem, but if you are on an ADV ride or trailride this can be a big issue if you’re miles from home.
If they would of been running traditional spring forks the result would have been a little bit of oil splashed around but no DNF. Hoping this technology doesn’t make it’s way into the offroad world anytime soon.
Happy Birthday Lotsa,
Hoping all is well and your on the fast track to recovery mate.

I’m in, I’m in, I’m in, I’m in, I’m in, I’m in, I’m in, I’m in, I’m in,
Get the message. i’m excited.
Still kicking my own ass for not being able to make this ride. I guess it’s going to be a long wait till August.
I didn’t think that the above quotes were too bad and far from being a rip off. Especially if they include parts. I mean whats a clutch kit worth? Probably $150 for an aftermarket kit including springs. Most shops these day are between $80 to $90 an hour. This makes one quote seem pretty cheap and the other one right on par.
TB Knows his stuff.
On a serious note I will disclose that I sell this stuff for a living. In saying that I sell a bucket load of Motul 800 which contains an ester additive. What this does is cling to the metal parts in your engine to reduce engine wear and because of the quality of the oil it can also quite easily be run at 40:1 in the bigger capacity two strokes with no problems.
Thanks for posting mate. I drive past Ballimore all the time when i’m heading from Gulgong to Dubbo and am always peeking for some riding around there. Will definately head over that way on my next day off to have a look around. What NP is over that way?
