Pulled it down last night and it looks like the sprag bearing is not engaging. Just nead to get a gear holder and pull the crank nut off and delve a bit further.
That is awesome TB. That last Woodstock ride was one of the best I’ve ever done. Can’t wait for the next one.
Hey Boony,
If the bikes only going to do some average trailriding you could probably go a heavy duty O-Ring like an RK 520SO. But if you are doing extended miles and getting a lot of heat in the chain I’d go an XW-Ring chain like a 520EXW.

The kids have been bugging me that they want a KTM like daddys one. So I spent Sunday converting a perfectly good Honda into a KTM. New Orange plastics with a chopped up KTM 65 graphic kit and a heavily modified 450X gripper seat cover did the trick and put a smile on her dial.
Thanks for the videos guys. I’ve had a bunch of customers that want to get into ADV riding and wanted to know what the ride was like. I just whip out the ipad and show them the videos. They were all pretty jealous. So they bloody well should be. It was a great ride.
Just want to re-iterate what Scott said and say thanks to TB for organising the ride. I have no idea how the hell he discoved all those roads and tracks but I’m bloody glad he did. Also thanks to Pete and Amy for being the masters of the yellow tape.
And thanks to Big Jeffro for being a bloody good ride partner. Cant wait for the next ride.
Cheers Dave
No dramas Aido, definitely keep you up and forward on th ebike when standing and help reduce fatigue on your arms.
I raced Yellow mountain out at Condo last year and did some pre running for the event and found when standing under acceleration my arms were getting super tired. Steg Pegz pretty much stop this. They are also good for accelerating up hills as it gives your boots something to “hook onto” and keep you up and forward on the bike.
I didnt notice them getting in the way at all. They were a good investment and I wouldnt do anothet cross country without them.
Yeah mate I’ve used them. what do you need to know?
I need one of those.
What time are you guys planning on getting to Mittagong?
Oil and Filters Changed, Filter cleaned, Coolant changed, New Pirelli tyres, New brake pads. The 690 is feeling very pampered and ready to take on her first OBT ride. Ironically I’m in Mittagong tonight for work and it’s raining and freezing, hopefully better for Friday.
Now there’s a top bloke right there.
I concur, the Mrs said I was edgy all weekend
Sounds like a plan Jeffro. Appreciate it.
