With all the research I have done I don’t think Lithium batteries are worth the money and the effort at the moment just to save a bit of weight. Undoubtably they will improve in the near future and we will all be using them or something similar. I actually tried to order one for my KTM 400 a couple of years ago through Battery world and they talked me out of it and sold me a std $50 battery instead.

I use Moto Cinch which are brilliant. I only use straps now when I have no other choice.

    Hi Guys,
Well it nearly a year since I joined here and still no ADV bike but that’s all about to change in a couple of weeks when I pick up a new 1190 R so if anyone’s up for a ride in August drop me a line.

Still at work for all of September see what happens on October. I am also a member of ADV.

Hands down go for a Zac Speed you have a choice of three different pack sizes a 3l bladder and body armour in one and they are extremely well made. They use a Source bladder which is far superior to anything Camelback with a 90 deg bite mouthpiece and a large folding opening to make cleaning and drying a cinch.

    Hi Mick,
It’s funny you should say that but I read another introduction post from 2009 and the same thing happened then so there must be a few of us getting around now and hopefully a few more pick up the Trailzone and read the article. Speaking of which I am hoping to get on the Trailzone reader ride in October with Clubby and Steven Gall over here in the SouthWest.
