Someone should get you two guys a room!

It doesn’t matter where it came from. It’s just a great mod.

TB, the 10 is going great. Haven’t seen it for 3 weeks due to work and a holiday to surfers for the rugby 7s. Pick it up from its 1000 km service today. It has been on a few rides through the mid north farming land here, but the best was hitting the twistys in the Adelaide hills.

I have to do this filter mod, I bought a B&B rack and reshaped seat from Ron Grant on ADV. I’ll be sending the suspension to Teknik in January, and fitting some knobs when that comes back for some more dirt exploration.

Now now, we all know TB is the MAN.
Should I have called it the OB filter skin mod?

I plan on doing Nicks filter set up this weekend. Looks like the perfect setup.

In the 24 hour trial we cover 1000 km and it is like a trail ride. Transports at 80 km and stages using mostly bottom three gears. At the end my hour meter read 14 hrs run time. So I reckon you could work on 15 hrs per 1000 km.

    Not in Queensland.

They get the 3 hour ride before work option instead.

But at least their cows keep producing milk, and the curtains don’t fade.

So how did the inner tube experiment go TB?
I saw the original xt660 thread back in the day also, and thought that looks like the go.
I haven’t done enough km for the first change out yet, but if this is a long term solution I will do it straight up.

I have run for 4 years with out a rim lock with my Mousses. I did a test once like this, and yes it did move, but I figure there was nothing that could be damaged as the carcass was full of lube preventing the tube from gripping either the tyre or rim. I didn’t notice a lack of drive, so the rim lock stayed off, and my tyre changes were easier.
One thing I do make sure of is ensuring the tyre bead and rim bead are clear of lube when it goes on. Cleaning them with acetone does a perfect job.

I like the sound of this… literally.

I have had my eye on a Barrett single in black, but now they do a twin, I am even more tempted. The fact he will look after an Old Bull member is just icing on the cake.

    Thanks Nick

I have only just picked my Tenere up, and have only had a few rides, so am yet to find the limits of the suspension, but am aware due to the internet of the imminent need to upgrade it. The revalved and resprung standard looks like the go. TB also raves about your Fork work. What would I be looking at for front and rear valving upgrades and resprung to my specifications?

    Cheers
    Matt
