Went for a ride on Sunday to try out the oziexplorer android app. Seems to work well, you make your own maps and store them on the phone. No problems if you don’t have phone coverage and you can see trails that other maps like google don’t have.
The red line is the GPS tracker.
I might woddle over and see whats happening.
I can log in, view member list but it’s not displaying any of the forum threads.
Not long downloaded the latest version, may have to update tapatalk on the forum.
If not may be at my end.June 6, 2011 at 4:44 pm in reply to: Sweep Riders needed. State Sprints, Mt Seaview. JULY 23-24 #202656John’s 18 now so we may have 2 if needed (HSC as well).
If not it would be good to be able to go out and take some action shots of the OBT team.May 18, 2011 at 12:47 pm in reply to: Heard a funny story made me think whats a dumb thing you have done #201460Nice one Mick, I donned the full face helmet, leather jacket and gloves to catch a feral cat, gloves were useless, RIP cat.
Another happy ending
Walked into a back room of the house and disturbed a rat which promptly ran over my foot and into an empty cupboard. luckly had the .22 rifle not to far away. Opened the cupbard door slightly and said, ‘This is for running over my foot’. End result, one rat in a million pieces plastered through the cupboard, ahhh but the satisfaction was worth it.May 17, 2011 at 4:04 pm in reply to: Heard a funny story made me think whats a dumb thing you have done #201457Had some friends and rellies up for a birthday dinner and had run out of chairs at the dining table. I grabbed the chair out of the office that has wheels. As I came into the lounge room I pushed the chair as fast as I could with the intentions of jumping on the seat with my knees and rolling to my spot at the table. Unfortunately when my wieght hit the chair it dug into the carpet causing me to do a superman over the backrest must to the delight of our guests.
If the bike has been sitting in the box for a long time it may help to check the top end for any sign of corrosion (rusty springs etc) It may even pay to change the valve seals if they dried out.
Most of my tips are last century.
Tin cans are good to braze on rusted out 2 stoke muflers.
Use the oxy to burn out the carbon on a 2 stoke muffler.
Strips of tin cut and placed around the rounded side of a drum brake pad gets a bit more life out of them.
Make sure sure the slit on the clutch/brake lever adjuster is pointing down to lessen the chance of moisture getting in the cable.
Enjoyed Moto2, forgotten his name already, but in just is forth race at 16 managed to pull off a win.
Whats the story with Kasey punching out some dude and getting fined $5k?
Looks good Mick,
Drop him off here and he can go riding with the boys while we hit the trails.Heres a tip from my shed, don’t use an oxy to cut them out.
I’ve got a licensed copy of vbulletin 3.6 if needed.
No luck, didn’t even move.

Put it up between centres and see how much run out it has on the bearing surfaces. (This gives you something to work to after you press it back together)
Scribe a line with a rule mark a straight line across the crank webs. (You use this when pressing back together)
You really need a workshop press.
A special jig that supports the crank whilst pressing the pin out.
Press apart
Install new rod and bearing
Align previous scribed marks and press back togther.
Put up between centres and check run out on bearings.
Use a soft hammer and a big block of timber to belt in alignment (Trueing the crank)
Re check between centres
Keep on going until you get in back to what it was before pressing apart or betterIs it standard to replace the conrod? the idea of splitting it myself was to check the condition of the conrod and save $$
