Not a single but quite a test piece. I watched Diddel get it on the second attempt :woohoo: I suppose I will have to have a go next Monday ;) Will have to fit into the loop somehow
    Cheers

At the top (where I went ) it was a T intersection and left headed into the same direction we went, so I can only assume it keeps going that way.
If it does it’d be good to have the original way as a “tail between legs” alternative .

Ahh yep I think I know the one ;) loose rocky and with a ledge thrown in for good measure

    Ollie

Nope, its got rocky rough run up, off camber smooth rock face, ledge, off camber rock face, ledge then throws it up with multiple ledges. Top bit of hill!

Unable to attend but those contemplating attendance  do it!
Also when you come to a down hill section that zig zags down be ready to lead Murph right at the next intersection and up the proceeding hill to attempt to re gain his purse which was left at the bottom last time   .

Its an extremely enjoyable couple of loops, last time it was raining which is good for most of the hills as they’re sandstone surface becomes nice and grippy.

Hoping to head up to Stockton in next 2 weeks to get some sand experience… after reading some tips on sand riding I think its going to be fun. At least it’s soft when I fall off.

    Welcome.

There is a member named Moto, he lives near the dunes and can offer advise and experience in going face first into the sand.
If you can catch him on a day that isn’t raining, after a night on a box of beer, fresh tyres, clean air filter, oil and water he may offer his services .
He’s also bound to make you feel more then capable on a bike.

    Out.
Things I wanted for this ride became the things I need to ride and they aren’t done (muffler and brake pedal).
Sorry for late notice but I wasn’t going to call it until I knew I couldn’t attend.

Yes but if we don’t complete it there is still a night and day to do so.

It is a fairly low key open ride that I mainly organised so I could see how the shoulder goes before I get into the harder stuff. The route is mainly open running so you maybe better of with open ish gearing. I will know more after I pre run it anyway.

Chops banana is a better bike in ALL conditions with faster rather the slower gearing because of the power characteristics of the DR engine as you will find out after you try the low gearing ;)

    TB

    When is this pre run?
    I’ll express interest now…

bundyroy is out but he has raised a good point for me to ponder?????the gearing for this ride would probably need to be on the tall side ,,wouldnt it.
I just fitted 13/50 to the 400, thinking it may be a touch low for a 180k day.

If its got any of the stuff I rode that weekend awhile back you’ll be fine on stock or lower.
    Fairly vertical area.

I look forward to the video footage and Moto’s commentary  .

As for Moto, TB will sort him out,,,, He can`t pass the leader    and he has to get to the front first, and that’s when he will be given a corner to stay on ;)

    We’ll see .

This will be an interesting corner man logistical operation .
May want to start a list of people willing to allow Moto to use block passing methods .
