Guyra Hotel. Very entertaining locals and friendly bar staff. Even moved beer garden furniture for us to put our bikes under cover overnight.

I’ll drink to that mate. After having a slow speed get off on single trails in the Watagans some years ago I landed knee first on half brick sized rocks with the weight of the bike on me. Couldn’t kneel on my left knee comfortably for over 12 months. Wear them all the time when with dirt involved now…even a cheap pair will do the trick!!

Very envious of the trip lads. Have done Curricabark and Carters following a shower of rain which is very entertaining on the steeper hills !!

Purchased a Darche Cumulus lw 2 man tent and tested last weekend. :) Has 5000mm floor and 4000mm fly water rating so should keep out the wet stuff. Small vestible and enough room inside for 1 person and helmet, jacket and sleeeping gear. So far so good. 5 minute setup and packs away to 2 stubbies long 😆

Nice beers at Moonan Pete. Had a quick run up and over “The Tops” with a mate from Buladelah just before Chrissy. Nice and cool up there this time of year.

Only rode down to the front gate and back, :( but I reckon you could sit there nearly all day as it was a pretty comfortable unit mate :)

Yeah Rookie, I am sure we are talking about the same bloke. Have done a couple of trips out there mate….magic spot. Havent ridden the area only been out there to chase down a few pigs. Although did have a quick spin on his big Kato last visit. Have been a good friend of his family for nearly 30 years now I think.

Great report fellas, Felt like I was there reading that, as have driven the Cells in 4by’s for many years but never ridden it. :( Must put it on the list one day, as only ridden the Oxley in your part of gods country. Thats the only glow worm I have ever seen wear a bike jacket at the old mine
