I have been scared of using the open back on my cam but to combat the fog inside i use super soakers, we use them when we are diving in our camera housings to help keep the camera safe when uder water, you can pick them up from dive shops, camera shops, ebay, or i think Go Pro might sell them as well.
Good thread STM, maybe the new OBT spirit award winner could let out some of his hints.
PTW
PTW….It’s an exercise in fustration……so hints …do wheelies when you are being vidioed. 😆 😆 😆
I have developed a process that makes little sence but works…my computer is a bit older (5 years) and worked fine with the old gopro but the files on the new gopro hd and language is a bit different……bigger…..so..
I would..import to computer sd card and would have to use windows live.
then
would convert mp4 to wmv via useing the windows live movie maker.(which I find a painful editing tool) I do a real rough edit and make a movie using this program…then
I can import this file/movie and use ‘windows movie maker’ and do editing andthen I have the end product that I can make dvd’s.   :S
other tips would be don’t bother to vid early or late in the day (the sun’s rays play havick with the quality of vid)……..constantly wipe the cam lens to remove mud and dust.
dude
Bonus Ben Bullen Bit.
Sorry?
No afence taken.
I understand the fustration with this editing stuff and finding the right program/codexs,….. windows have made this situation with all the different computer languages all the different companies use for copyrights………you would think they would just use all the same language wouldn’t you…..but I found the windows movie maker just loved your Drift HD to make movies. 😆
‘Much room for improvements’ I was referring to was my lack of editing skills and mistakes I made on the Nundle DVD and maybe it’s only me that can see them……
I am happy how the ADV movie turned out. :cheer: …………….. would be better if Bollocks could lift the front wheel of his bike a bit higher when he shows off attempting wheestands but I’m sure he will work on that….. :laugh:So when you see a camera or vid cam do a wheely and you will make it on the movie…..and try not to fall off OBT dudes..
all good
ride on OBT dudes
Gday obt dudes
Gee I missed this thread didn’t I…….
Well Thanks to all, for well wishes and stuff….
Ride on.
May your creek crossings not be too deep,
May you find traction in sticky situations,
May the logs you cross don’t make you cross,
May the falls you fall be soft,
May the fuel in your tank last the distance,
May the tempertures you ride in not be too hot,
May your fittness last the distance,
May you make it home before night,
May when you see a camera you always pull a wheely,
May we always have fun…..cause that what it’s all about..
Been reading thread and want to get a few things straight…….
1st Didn’t you own a underpowered TTR250 that you rode at Sunny Corner a while back now.
If that was you……. why would you sell a DRZ400 cause they ‘I would think’ have more power than the TTR and I would have thought that it would have been the perfect bike for you, cause lounge chair type seat and realiable, ‘so I am lead to believe.’
Drz would be suited for grade 3 riding.
Really buy the bike you want or dream of, or be a tight-ass and wait for a bargain….
No help at all was I
dupsyam4 wrote:Just wondering if you blokes follow the leaders line….
Or do we pick our own line on the trail.
I find it easy to follow the leader…Till he makes a mistake.   .
What do you think.I always pick my own line, sometimes I think trail riding is all about picking lines.
Try not to get in roost line of the bike in front….. expecially on gravel roads

For me this was the toughest weekend for a long time.
Mainly due to the terrane and a bad gumby moment 20 mins into 1st days ride which had me in a ‘State of pain’ S.O.P. for the rest of the weekend. Very very upset with this situation that I had caused myself, and still am.
Anyway putting aside this ‘S.O.P.’ it will be a memorable weekend, of course I had voted myself the weakest link and Saturday was survival riding all day but the conditions were
‘Perfect’
‘No dust’
‘Cool temps’
Insane and seemingly endless great tracks.
Challenges a plenty
Sunday
Rode much better today due to medication and the ride was much calmer.
High lights
Riding up 2 step
Riding up Boot hill for some reason I really like riding on stones/rocks.
Pasted a couple of challenges all good fun and once again no dust and lovely temps. :cheer:
Special thanks to Mal and Donna for putting me up.
And thanks to the leaders and sweeps that did an excellent job. :cheer:
Thanks to Als450 for driving.
This was a good able crew to ride with. How’s that KTM rule dude go? He rides at a different level. Good luck on your Romantics assault dude.
Overall as I wrote this was the most toughest and very enjoyable weekend I have experienced.
TB……….. I am ready to ride…….I don’t know if I have riden that side of the hill so…………………….I’m there….
I would like a start…….
I do have concerns but when I see you don’t haveta ride up 3 step, 😆
So I reckon I could finish this ride……….should get more than 5 kms
Looking forward to it, sounds like a quick ride or it should be if I am the weakest link….. 😆
Well for me anyway….
aaaaah… thanks old bull trailriders
Much room for improvements…….hey the vid quality is much better using the hd go pro.
Special thanks to Bone for contributing from the calmer side of twin trail adventure riding.
Looks like a nice time was had by all.
Gday Bull,
I would like to attend this ride with my son (Dozer).
So please add us to the list.
thanks in advance. :cheer: :woohoo:
