I know mate.I obviously have a bit to learn about the XR650s,otherwise I wouldn’t have ridden it into a gully of no return
They are great fun to ride. I’ll often ride me mates and get it stuck somewere. That’s when i usually wanna swap back . I always like ridin with him cause it’s like havin a bit off security knowin the 650’s around, a bit like a big bro lookin out for ya.
Iv’e actually been lookin at one that’s for sale for a while now cause the missus said i can get a new bike next year, but i’m thinkin about keepin the 300 and buying the 650 instead of gettin a brand new bike. than i’ll have two bikes, but i’m a bit undecided. I might go see old mate about it this arvo.
Can’t wait for the weekend though cause i love ridin in these conditions.

It’s shapin up to be another wet and slippery weekend out in the bush again. I can’t wait to get out there.
Good one riderx. Mick probably done it on purpose so he could take a picture bloody xr650 show pony

Quote:Was you up here riding Dusty?? If so you should have given me a call.Nah Mick just went out from home with some mates. We were only out for a couple of hours. I knew there’d be no dust and I wanted to chew out the last of bit of grip on me rear tyre before puttin on a newy so we just hit it for a quck one. I’ll let ya know when I’m comin up though.

From there we went down into the rainforest sections, I found a freshly cut single so I proceeded down it and the further we went down the greasier it got, we got to the stage where we could no longer turn around and we had to trust our luck that the exit from the gully wasn’t going to be a steep and greasy as the entry.
Hey mick it was bloody slippery out there this weekend ah. I went out on Sat and did my fair share of slippen and sliding all over the place. Had a couple of slow speed endos when my front wheel caught some greasy logs through some overgrown terrain…took me ages to wash me bike cause of all the clay stuck everywhere and i was pretty waterlogged aswell. No dust though.
I thought it might be for all the people who go to the shop wanting to buy a KTM but can’t afford one and they buy the fuel to make their non ktm bikes go a bit faster. Out on the trails they could tell their mates “ya know the fuel in this is meant for a
ktm”. can you imagine the jealousy that would set in. good to see ya tryin to share the ktm love around TiscoShit TB just logged on and saw all these posts. You’ll be right mate…a little bit of time and all will be good. Sometimes it’s just part of the game we play and ya just gotta eat this sorta stuff up. Rest up mate and catch ya on the trails when ya all better.

Yes Mr Blue very funny  I know it was wrong of me but I could’nt help myself. Good luck bike shopping Bigger Al and catch ya’s on the trails.
Go a ktm 300 mate. They are light, fast and strong and beat any four banga. Either way it has to be orange I reckon. We all know that on reputation alone KTMs are untouchable.
I’d support this joint for sure. My kids would love going there. We do go to louee a fair bit. It’s unreal and heaps of fun but a bit of a haul to get there from Newcastle (roughly 5 hours)so something a bit closer and easier drivin straight down the freeway would be welcome for sure.
Thanks TB no worries mate. I think most blokes start thing about it when they get into there 40s.
For me I’m always thinkin about it lately. Not too long ago i had this feelin in the side of my ribs like something was pressin on em and i started freakin a bit about it and got it checked out with an xray and all was clear. The Doc reckoned it was rib catlige and it has since gone. He gave my a referal for a blood test aswell but i still ain’t got it done yet but i think i will do it next week now after reading the other posts about prostate problems. Coincidently i bumped into a mates missus yesterday and she told me that he was having the day off to get the photo up the bum thingy check up. He is over 50 and his old man had prostate cancer.
My main concern is I don’t want too go early and leave the missus and kids without an old man. It bears not thinking about but we owe it to our loved ones to keep a check on our health. My oldman died at 47 thats just 3 years older than i am now so i’m thinkin about it more and more. I still like to party and all of that but have slowed it right down cause i wanna be there for my kids.
Also there is the fun factor aswell…i wanna ride with me kids when they are adults cause i plan on still gettin out in the bush for a fang most weekends when i’m older.
Hey TrailBoss happy birthday mate. Have a good one. I’ll have a beer in your honour at the pub this arvo. Have a good ride up Wauchope on the weekend. Catch ya mate.
I’d be keen for a ride there. I’ve ridden from Bohnock to Gingers and back a couple of times out through Mount George and up over Blue Knob. There is some good fast stuff through there and some kickarse hills. I think we did about 260 kms for the day. Fueling up at Gingers and Mount George.
