Cause they go so fast we KTM riders are always on the brakes tryin to pull em up just so all the other bikes and bikers don’t feel to bad gettin smoke by us. see how considerate we are!!!!!!!!

This sounds very similar to an accident that a mate of the father-inlaws had up that way a few months back but not as serious. They were both on dr650s aswell. The father inlaw was out in front a fare way and pulled up to wait for his mate. After a while he decided to go back only to find his mate KOd by a 4wd. He was’nt to bad though he had a beaten up leg. His bike was stuffed with a pretty bent fork and front disk damage. They had to leave the bike out a property and go back and get it later. The cops came but they did’nt do to much. Aparently the 4wd was fangen along fairly quick and oldmate was just cruisin along when it happened. I know the bloke a bit and he’s a pretty safe and slow old rider so who knows. Ya always gotta be mindful of things that can take a out.
G’day Bundyroy. I’ve got an 08 300 and it happens to me aswell. I’ve seen those reservoirs in some mags and thought about gettin one and probably will now after reading TB’s comment. My old 99 model 300 used to do it also. My mates used to say it was just an excuse i used when they overtook me but it was legit i swear.
shit happens as they say…what can ya do fellas top effort anyway. I’m not sure if you guys were mates before OLDBULLS was formed cause yas look like pretty tight friends cause i just can’t believe ya effort TB. If was gunna do a ride like that & you were my main man TB i’d be a happy man. Ya just so organised. sometimes it aint the result thats important but the process to get yas there. cheers and enjoy.
Top bikes, exellent on the wheelstands too. A mate of mine has one and i love having a fang on it although when we get into the real tight stuff i’m happy to give it back to him. I’ve got it stuck on some hills and could’nt kick it over so i just turned around and went back down and had another crack and all was good.If ya happy pushin the weight around i reckon they are a great trailbike for all conditions and terran. Once ya got used to it would be a weapon if ya wanted it to be or just heaps of fun of the bach wheel and heaps of wheelie action. shit ya can even ride it slow and it would just tractor away all day. cheap and reliable with maintainance too and look kickarse aswell which is important, hahahah.
This happened to me once when i was livin down in the ACT. I was on my XR600 and sunk it pretty badly in a boghole about 20 klms from the car.Cause i was young and dumb i did’nt have anything to tow it out with so i use my long sleeved teashirt i was wearin. I just looped it around the forks up near the triples and tied both sleeve ends onto the subframe on one side of me mates kato 620 near the blinker bracket. It was’nt pretty and i was real close to him once we started goin. I remember it being a real hard struggle to keep it all upright especially on the hills but we got back eventually to my relief.
These day i carry a bit of blue & yellow teltsra rope but might swap it for some strapping after reading some OBT’s comment.micknmeld wrote:

I like the the cheap tyre shine in the blue cans from supercheap. It’s nice and cheap and works well over the whole bike. I hav’nt tried the dearer stuff though. The wife is always on to me spending money on the bike so i’m always lookin to save a few dollars….the kitty’s lookin pretty sad at the moment also.
