Man what a giant he is. It would be good going for a ride with him. I’ve got a mate who is 6’9 who rides and goes ok but always gets caught up in the tight stuff  He’s riding more on the road these days. He makes me feel like a shortarse.

What an idiot. I may turn a blind eye to kids fanging around on unregeod bike but once they are old enough to hold a licence they should get it sorted and get a regoed bike so they can enjoy the bush like all of us. My oldest son has just got his Ls a few weeks back and could’nt wait to hit the trails with me.

I like to sit back a bit and take the smoothest line I can see. Sometimes that’s the leads line and sometimes it’s not. Just depends on the terrain and my approach to the tricky stuff.

I used to ride alone alot also especially when I lived in Canberra. I use to enjoy it heaps but I did have a few stacks. One in particualar I was heading up a big hill in a pine fosest when I clipped a roock with the front wheel. Next thing I was flat on my back with the rear wheel spinning like mad right next to my head and all these rocks sticking out the pine mulch about 6-12 inches high. I thought man I was lucky not to hit one of them as I came down back first.

I generally take it a bit slower these days but still have the odd crash but they are normally slow ones :cheer:

I feel for oldmate though cause it sounds like he was pretty messed up. I don’t like seeing riders down or injured anytime. RIP

    Hi Murph :)
Thanks for a top day out yesterday mate. I had heaps of fun. Thanks to all the other fellas too for a top ride in great company. Even though it was grade 3 I knew that their would be a few little challenges to test us a bit :cheer: Down old amazon I picked up some lantana which gave me a close shave and stung for a bit.

I was nice and hot so anything harder would have had me stuggling a lot more as I was pretty well stuffed when i got home but pulled up ok today.

Good times had. Riding with Murph on his single tracks.
Meeting some other OldBulls and having a laugh with em. :P
Nearly going over the bars when me back wheel hooked up in a boghole
    The little quarry hill.
Enjoying my first proper ride in a while.
Seeing Tryhard Joe pull some good wheelstands 😆
Lotsa giving me a bolt for me gear stick.
Watching Offline push the DRZ400 through all the tight stuff .
The cold bottle of water that Murph gave us at the end of a great ride.
Having a break out at Bungalow and checking out the little cabin with the fellas

Lotsa ,Adam, Offline and Pikey it was nice to meet ya’s. Hope to catch ya’s on other OldBull rides. :cheer:

I took some pics but don’t have the right app on my home computer so will post em up later.

Is a 105 kg fat old man to heavy for a crf250?

    kevdog[/quote]

I weigh about the same as you kevdog and I’d go the 450 instead of the 250. Not cause it’s faster but a bit more playfull giving a few more riding optios like wheelies and tail slides  Not that the 250 don’t do em but the 450s do em easier. However I’m not you so like TB says if you can get it set up right it will handle the weight. Aswell I just think I could ride the 250 into the ground quicker and be up for parts and maintaince more frequently. It just what I reckon I would though mate. :cheer:

If only we could keep all the bikes that we have ever owned. Nothing like a new bike to get over an old favorite. Enjoy mate.
