November 25, 2009 at 9:47 am in reply to: 2009’s Best ride you had / went on rode/ ripped up #162746
they were all pretty good cause i love ridin so just being out in the bush is tops for me. morgo’s birthday ride was good until i broke my rear brake caliber and had to piss off home. the wattos bash was good too. catchin up will old mates and gettin on the beers at nite than ridin all day was unreal. takin the kids ridin and watchin them drop the clutch and do wheelies i won’t forget to soon either. :woohoo:
$30 does,nt seem much if it works. It could help walking home from the pub aswell.I’ll be watching the test with interest.
hey diddel stop posin mate ya ain’t that good. i went for a ride with ya and all ya did was ride the tight stuff pretty slow and as for the intermediate stuff well i was wondering when ya was gunna turn it on. it did’t happen so i left early. like i told ya i was’nt even hot……you young blokes are full of it, ya must go good with ladies cause ya can certainly spin the shit. haha ha. until we ride again.
sound like ya had a good day mick. i saw some pics of ya mate and ya don’t look real big to be pushin around the 650, no winder ya looked hot. i looked well run. was it an offical thing .i havent done anything like that although i did do a poker run out of bago years ago with father in law and his mates.
g’day moto. how many kms have ya done on the new bike. i would’nt be holden it pinned in 5th gear for any great distance (ie on the road) until ya had about 1000 kms on it. like ya said it’s hard to ride it flat stick in the bush any way so revin it out through the gears there is not much of a problem. the new synthetic oils are great but they don’t have the meat that the old mineral oils had. they (mineral)probably wore the bore a bit quicker though. when ya hold it pinned it burns like a bastard in the chamber and runnin the the new oils pretty lean as we do these days can dry it out and that’s when she’ll seize. once it’s all bed in real nice ya won’t have a problem and you’ll get heaps of kms out of it before ya gotta change ya piston and rings. before my current 300 i brought new 1999 300 and did’nt change the ring and piston until about 5000kms and it looked great inside the barrel. before that i had a 1996 360 and it was the same although i did’nt rebuild it until about 8000 kms and it was good too. i remember thinkin i ripped myself off cause it did’nt really need doin. i hope it makes sense there moto as i’m no mechanic and it’s just my opinion.
yeah ollie i agree with ya that they should wait their turn. it would be like pushin in at the bar mate ….not good form and could end in a blue.
we all take a different track in life and end up where we are one way or another. ya can tell what a bloke’s like when ya meet him. if he’ an arsehole being an imagrant ain’t gunna change much. he’s still an arsehole. but if he’s a good bloke i’ll have beer with him no worries. we are all pretty lucky to live here at this time and age. i don’t care where ya come from as long as ya fit in and don’t get involved in criminal and other bad shit.
politics and religion ah ollie. they get people goin mate
g’day ollie can ya please put me down for this ride too mate….have a good one.
thats it murph. good on him for keepin us on our toes. he’s like a kid in a lollie shop out there in the bush.
hey murph young diddel’s givin us older blokes some stirrin. maybe we should have an oldbull v youngbull showdown.my monies on the us for sure.
i’ve heard alot of stories like that around newy too. bloody low i reckon. i always get my bike around the back and outer sight pretty quick after a ride. gone are the days when ya could wash it out the front. stealin a blokes bike is real dog act and i hope all of them get caught.
settle down there young diddel….give us old fellas some credit for being keen ah mate…we might be older but we still enjoy a ride. i pulled out on old foresty map when i got home of the area and i’m sure i’ve been on some of those tracks although it was a while ago and i did’nt reckonise any. Thanks for organising it diddel and good to meet tf2 and flapper. Thanks murgh for sweepin me up along the way too mate.
i’ll try to finish next time diddel.
see yas up there too. i pm my number to ya murph but don’t worry about it cause i’ll see ya up there. enjoy the hippy trip
hey fellas…..no worries. i’m gunna ride up so i was gunna see if i could buy a few litres of petrol off someone to get me through.
The Turbo Diesel Prado’s are great in the bush. I’ve done alot of work with them in the field over the last fews years and have giving them an absolute flogging and they keep on going. They run good on the highway too. My nephew had a Territory but sold it pretty quickly as he reckoned it was a shitbox in the bush. I wish i was in the field now instead of the office.
