I did 180k this morning,,,
Left home 5.30 before the sun was up & home before 9
Just started to warm up the last 10 k
I can see how a cool vest would be good on longer days though
Lefty wrote:Yeah it should be great to see it unfold. Now that the 13km SS warm up is finished they can get into tomorrow with a 242km SS. :woohoo:There is only 5sec between Smith and Fish and a further 5sec back to Grabbo

Can’t wait for tomorrows results it should be a ripper.
Best of luck to all the Aussies and ride safe.

And Newy Boy Troy O Connor 5 secs behind Grabbo

Great solid start for the guys, good to have an Aussie group close together or tomorrows stage ,,,Go Boys Go !!!

Don’t worry James, Im sure TB would go for the one with 1km on it as opposed to your 10 000km:laugh: That`s exactly what TB said on the blower on Thursday night Nick
Something about an engine transplant ?????? 😆
Risky Business leaving a ten there this week mate :whistle:I spoke to TB about his the other night and the lengths they have gone to to get the required part that is holding them up is pretty big ,, but they are the two guys that would be able to pull it off

Good choice getting Nick to give your ride the Teknik Treatment, she will be a diferent machine on her return

Cheers Lefty,
I borrowed the pics from ADV & the Dakar site,,,, there will be some awsome stuff online the next fortnight
On another note, I looked up the route & stage distances for the Bike Competitors and holy mackerel check this,,,
Transport total – 4277
Special Stage total – 4146
Overall Bike total – 8423klmIt`s a massive ADV RIDE mate
Way to go

Benny all through scrutineering and into Parc Ferme till the start of the Rally !!!!THUMBS UP MATE and Good Luck

Rodrigo Caballero, who is managing his first 4 bike team as well as spinning spanners for the Aussies I think.

Another Aussie, on the same team Andrew Scott. Famous for his beard of all things

TB quote : “Sort of Eags it’s a project bike of sorts am a lot closer with this one. Spending the weekend on a basically a new 800 tiger which I am looking forward to as well.” TB unquote,,,
And after hangin` so much shit on ACE for riding a Bavarian Latte Mobile

The TrumpyTigers are a nice bit of hardware though !!!I reckon they will have a couple of cracker jack days,,,, except for the hot weather though :S
I think he covered that in the post about the new Ten ???
Actually there is a varied source of machine going and they will be swapping back & forth I reckon , Bike Whore title has been snatched from Jeffro long ago I can tell ya  :laugh:They had planned a ride away elsewhere, but things changed and this became a late option I think
 He is long gone Lefty old mate

I was talking to him last night and reckon he was ready to go at a moments notice :woohoo:
Welcome to the Nuthouse then Ian

james wrote:I grabbed room 12 TB this arvo after seeing your post.Like I told you before I have a mate who is interested in going depending on whether or not he is back from overseas.Just got to get him to join up.
If he doesnt make it guys, and I dont have a ride buddy, room is fully paid for already be my guest my treat.
Dont want to ruin anyones ride weekend dragging me along 😆 On that note if anyones going for a day ride I would like to tag along, just too see if nothing else how far behind, my riding ability is.

You haven`t seen me paddle the 690 around yet mate
You`ll be fine I reckon, as stated in post 1 it is not a race, just a bunch of blokes following the tracks left by TB & PTW (half of which will be skidmarks left by PTW anyway)
Plenty of time to do the distance and see some great places along the way :woohoo:
