Times are tough for sure Bones
Hang in there mate, I`m not quite at 48 and also finding it tough. Only been really looking for a fortnight since being notofied of redundancy at Easter. What I have learnt the past month is that you don`t always have to have the right skills for the job, just have to know how to network your way in from another angle !!!
It pays to be in the know and be talking to the “RIGHT” people for sure.
Something that I have usually avoided, sucking up to certain people rather than getting noticed on merit and competency alone. The incompetent suckholes & Yes Men usually end up at the top (I have seen far too many examples of it the past 10 yrs)
It cost me my last job and I`m now wiser for it and have learnt a lot of what to look for in a company before working for them !!! (presuming I have enough time to be picky) :laugh:TRY THIS GUYS
I hear ya loud & strong Ecks & TR !!
I`d work for either of you blokes in a heartbeat, but you both are too far away unfortunately :pinch:I`m still on the lookout for a new role (only just started looking seriously this week really) 6 weeks after getting my notice
I`ll be there in the arvo sometime Friday to set up camp mate and see what the go is for the weekend duties.
Looking forward to seeing some quality racing (on the track & the bench and ring of bullshit around the fire)
Only thing negative I can think of , is that we can`t sweep Kram & Moose out with the ciggy butts at this event :silly: 😆See Ya`s there in a week !

A campout with Moose & Kram on the cans !!!
How much more entertainment could a bloke take for a weekend :laugh:Cheers mate, I`m looking forward to getting back up there

Kram wrote:Thanks Gents it was a top weekend indeed. The Hastings Valley MCC is holding the next round on the June long weekend. You’ll have everything from Div 1 though to pro open racing over three days.
If anyone’s keen, come along and camp at the track. It’s a cracker weekend. The kids have to go to bed early and the dads play up :woohoo:

I`m dead keen to get along to this for a couple of days at least Kram
Have sent a pm to Toes to check availability of a camp spot amongst the local crew if possible ???Looking at heading up on the friday arvo and coming back Sunday arvo,
Willing to help out around the place over the weekend too if it helps (I saw how busy the committee peeps were last time I came up and that was only a Club Day) :laugh:Sounds like a great weekend and a good chance to catchup with some of the Wauchopian Crew
CEKLS, CELLS ???
Hopefully it`s the latter and the key will get snapped off in the lock
