    OK,
I have white (can be any colour you like with the use of a texta  ) nylon, m6 x 16mm long. Cap screw head with flat screw slot. May be able to find some more option tomorrow ;) You will just need to use staino nuts on the back (I have no nylon nuts)
I will post on Monday if you like . Or tomorrow arvo if m6 x 16 is fine …..

    Cheers

Nylon fasteners are relatively easy to get hold of,,,

Will check the size and get back to ya (think they are 6mm dia)

    Yep,
It only needs a small kick to be effective, half inch should go close,,, you have a big area of air being directed upwards as it is with the screen size mate

    Tweak it for sure ;)
Preliminary job looks the goods though Mick ,,,

I mounted a Kato Hardparts screen to mine last week, it has a kick in the top as well for that little bit extra deflection of the air
Test rides are always a great excuse to get out too :P

There are`nt really any big probs with it Boony,,,
Its only a filter and as Murph stated,,,,, His sorted itself out & hasn`t been a problem since

We have all seen how he rides & the terrain he covers, so that`s a good enough test for me ;)

I also have had no signs of any fuel pump or filter issues in 7000k :)
Just good clean fuel where possible & be careful around the filler cap when excessive dirt is present

    A Mongrel she is

Also I see MickP & Tryhard have had no real problems with theirs,,, and they have been LOADED UP
Yeah the 9 litre tanks are a tad small (especially for the price) :S But the Safari tank is butt ugly and uncomfortable to ride with I think from some reports,,, butt ugly can be lived with for the mileage I suppose but I thin 300+ k is of for me at this stage. A bladder is always an option ;) Like Left One carries

    Cheers
Oh yeah,,, Sorry Krusty for the thread hijack,,,, But YOU started it mate

Similar to breaking frames on DR650`s ??? ;)

I have read about plenty of guys ride reports with 690`s loaded up (after changing the tank bolts, upper & lower, run the braced touratech rack and most have no probs)
I get 200k from my standard tank (riding like a girl apparently) :P so another 9 litres will suffice for most of my planned trips. Can also run a bladder or maybe Rotopax if needed I suppose….

I guess I am rather, no very inexperienced in the subject, but I reckon they are ok ;)

    Your right there Krusty ;)
It is a machine with little more than 100k on it too I believe after talking to Scotty the other day
They are the same tanks (Rally Raid) that Deano has installed on his ride up here in Newy & I hope to do the same this year sometime,,,
Not going the full fairing though :S

Good Luck whichever way you go Boulder B)
