No….he just cops the penalty. The average time was around 2.5 hours for that last leg, so he does lose real time.
It’s a bugger really, he was almost finished when he picked up the wooden hitch-hiker!
    Crash

Eags, I wonder what happened with the Yank on the only 690 in the race? He didn’t start todays stage![/quote]

    Yeah, Dunno,,,,
Seth Strait is the guy you speak of on a 690E (maybe that`s his problem, E not an R)
He is still in 42nd and there are no retirements listed on the site as yet ???? Strange

On another note the two guys on the 950`s are still cranking along :woohoo:

SB was airlifted out of the stage today, after a stake struck his boot and embedded in his ankle. Boot was cut off by the medics. DR has assessed him and he is good to continue tomorrow.

Doesn`t that mean he needs to complete todays stage first before he can continue to post a result ???
I see has a maximum penalty of 4hrs 30 mins

SB is a tough cookie, so I reckon he will hang in there and complete the job ;)
He has MCx2 Penalties for the stage, so I figure there is some mechanical drama????

Grabbo had a good win in SS4 Inglewood but still trails Smithy by 10mins in 3rd place overall.
The flying frenchman is hanging back in 6th and 15 mins back, report are that he is hanging back deliberately waiting to attack but the barbed wire fences and roos are discomforting to him

SB is still in the event in 37th place around 5 hrs from the front runners :)
Troy O`Commor from Newy is still going strong in 15th around 1hr 15mins off the pace ;)

Big stage coming tomorrow over 500k of sandy tracks , maybe this is right up Cyril`s alley, the big Kato is setup for just such a stage :woohoo:

That`s good to hear then ;)
Hearing reports like that make it more comforting that they are indeed a good pice of kit for the $$$

I had a bent front brake lever the other day, didn`t want to snap it but it was bent downwards in an arch along the whole length almost so it had to be straightened.
I removed the lever from the perch, warmed it up with the brides hairdryer til I could hardly hold onto it  then hit it gently a few times with a rubber mallet. Had the lever lying on the ground with a good carpet garage matt under it to absorb any excess shock,

Result after three hits was a nice straight lever with no stress ;)

Give it a good test out before you ride it eagle , Ive had two brake levers brake off in my hand this year (one had been crashed and dropped alot the other was new)

Yeah, I hear ya Ev ;)
I gave it a run three days this week to work, used it more than I needed to to see if it felt strong . (being Brembo`s, I don`t need to crank on it anywhere near hard anyway  or I always end up on the deck :S  )
Seems fine, but I am going to buy a new one after the holidays and keep the old as a spare just in case I need it on the trails ;)
