The current one looks a tidy unit, but water & dust proof is more important, as is the sun shroud thingy over the screen I thinkAnyone seen or have one of the older models around they want to part with ????

Odds are pretty good I`d say
Jeffro is on the money, he knows his welding (that`s his career)
Good Luck with the repair Roy
I am not so sure,,,,
Having not done anything remotely like the APC, I see a lot of 690`s in pics & coming in in groups in the ride reports daily
I tend to think they were well up there in the number stakes (maybe even top 3):whistle:What would I do to combat the injector problems you ask ???
Well, I think it would be a small outlay really to have a spare onboard, due to the remoteness of some of the areas travelled. Afterall, the majority of riders (whatever bike they rode) would have probably taken way more spares than they really needed for the trip (human nature to over prepare for some of them) :laugh:We all carry spare nuts & bolts etc, so I reckon a spare set for the tank upper & lowers would sufficed too.
I noted that the guy that had the rear end problems had a flimsy looking rack setup , would like to think the Touratech one like mine with double braces each side would support more of the weight)THere are quite a few 690`s sporting the Touratech rack that have finished,,,,,,
Just my inexperienced 2c worth
I just checked & he said “NO DR WOULD DO UNFORTUNATELY”And for the record, He is not really my mate, just a fellow 690 owner I forwarded to Suttos for tech help
Thats bullshit,,, surely
Note there were 3 more 690`s in today, all went well with a small prob for one that they sorted,,,
The are gonna put together a prep list for 690 guys next yearEl Ponkin is also loking at a 690 rather han a 990
 Stuffed if I know either
Just thought I`d ask, really thought you of all people would know :whistle:Will be interesting at the end to see the final list of completions actually,,,
Also there are more Trumpy`s than I expected to see out there , interesting :dry:Crikey, that chick (Kristen) is still going great with the Vicco Crew , was at Dorrigo yesterday :woohoo:
No, No tongue in cheek at all
Fail to Prepare, Prepare to Fail   :whistle:Heard that somewhere on here before
Out of interest,,, How many Tenere`s have finished so far ??????
Yep, another convert to the world of ADV
I rode with some guys on Sunday that rode from Newy down to Angus Place a few weeks ago, one day I will be doing the same , it looks like a goos place to visit for a weekend rideI covered about 420k on Sunday, and I too felt like I had been sodomised by the same Gorilla  (but I was somewhat restricted to standing too much for the last 120k due to my ankle injury)
All good today though, backside has recovered :laugh:Cheers Scotty, for the good RR you started mate
I think you are right on the Money with your idea (especially having the RMX to play with too)Good Call !!!
Yeah,
Sounds like a good day out for sure
Pics are good too,,,, Thanx for sharingYep,
And more KTM`s in that group too (690`s to boot)
As well as a DR or two :laugh:Goes to show that 690s can do it with good preparation
