Well,
I went back to the Nabiac Museum yesterday with some guys from work for an RDO ride
Was going to do a solo cruise thru the Wattos & out to Laguna, but the prospect of some other blokes to ride with was alright too (although they were on 4 Harleys & a Triumph) :laugh:The 690 hauled ass up the highway no worries at the rear of the procession, one Harley had an inpromptu lydown on the corner to the Buladelah Pub  (legs too short was the excuse) :silly: No damage done,,,
The reason I was posting this up was that the guy from the Museum was proud as punch to show off the 1914 Militaire wooden spoked wheels & all
Apparently the insurance companies approached were not willing to set a value & told old mate to name his own price
He also commented on what a great weekend we had (apart from the cabins cross the road) and we are welcome back for more Nabiac hospitality anytime,,,,It was a wind blast in the face on the way home after lunch (need a dual sport helmet real soon)
Not another Murphsburger in town :laugh:Obviously related to the long haired bearded one & his sidekick Smurph :woohoo:
Welcome aboard I supposeGood Luck Trev,,,,
And keep it rubber down for the whole trip mateKeep the updates comong as well please,,,,,,
Cheers
Looks a bit more like the Rock Loam we saw at Louee a while back
Boonit calling my new ride a “ROAD BIKE” Now that`s a joke, It`s more like a DRZ Roosting Machine :woohoo:
Ok, Mr Boonwar, we will see shortly, we will see
So it`s Old News hey Mick,
Old news is still better then No News :laugh:I`m going to the Man cave to tinker ,,,,,,,,
And it would be Boony the biggest Post Whore to thank for that of course :silly:
It is a big number though, just the same, and if you take out Boony`s crap stuff, there are still plenty of great informative posts
Reckon it would be hard to find better value for $$$ then the Garmin Map60CSX thst a lot of the guys are now running.
Not too big, waterproof, reliable software, colour screen & works a treat
Wish I had one tp replace my slightly larger Garmin Map76 :whistle:Sounds like you are leaning towards the dark side there Chris
Got some adventuring to do do we ??????
Yep, I used the wipes on the 690 too after the Sunny Corner weekend,,,
ANd they are grouseThanx CM TOOLS (Chris)
Well, My daughter is out for the night at a sleepover, son is hiding in his Mancave downstairs  And the missus is head down into school reports,,
So I snuck out for a 25k run in the dark thru some lakeside suburbs, checked out the local BMX racing on the way thru and back home in time for tea …Heatshield can be touched with bare hands as soon as I got off the bike (I realise that it is winter & nighttime, but can`t see it gaetting that much hotter really)
So all good I reckonCan I post this as my first ADV ride report ??? :woohoo:
Might do another one tomorrow time permitting

Actually No mate, they don`t,,,
It goes where it is now, He had it bolted thru the guard into the tail tidy thingy :dry:I have added one more hole & tie this morning & all is tight & fits well. May get a test in the next week if I am lucky
Loaded tent, chair & stuffed the bags to simulate a load as well, just need a rear rack of sorts to rearrange the tent to access fuel filler quicker. At the moment, it is only to undo two occy straps and remove tent, but that will change in timeCheers
Jeffro bought the Bling Helmet at the AUCTION
Tiny wrote:I think jeffro scored the helmet:)Yeah TB,
That was oe of my ideas (the Rotopax System) for in the future , you read my mindWill source some ally plate later on just like that then , and the P Clamps
I have just come up from adding the Heatshield that I got with the racks a while back,,,
I have modded slightly (he had it double layered but I think he had the standard hot pipe )
I temporarily attched it with solid ties till I test run it to check the heat etc (I did have some stainless steel ties somewhere but have misplaced them in the move)
I don`t want to screw or bolt it on just yet,,,,Might have a short road run this weekend if time permits (kids sport is full on this week)
More later
NO, Thats why they are easily removable,,,
Whole rack comes off with 8 screws mate (5 minute job)Cheers,
I have some Shedtime to do now, night all :cheer:Anything Boll goes near usually lays down
Yeah, Enjoy it Nick , I will be watching & waiting for the reports to roll in…
And Pics, lots of pics -
