Never heard how Moley Mole” MOTO ” did in Brisvegas Rnd 1 did we ???
Any news or didn`t end up running ??? :whistle:jtb2879 wrote:gco0307 wrote:TB, ….The reason why I usggest this is that I was once a looooong time back a moderator of a road bike forum in the Illawarra region and we used to have an ‘open’ forum. It wasn’t long before we started to get some very unwanted attention, both from police who were aware of a ride gathering and thus would turn up to ‘inspect’ the bikes or the roads on which we were to ride, or more of an issue was the mindless toolset that would turn up, behave like total wankers and ruin it for everyone.
Gaz
Cause the cops would never join a forum… :pinch:
You are not the first to join, or attend a ride
Last I remember called himself “The Bill” and turned up to a Watagans ride with his mate to check us all out. Saw we were legit and only lasted half hour before going in search of other nutters.Never saw or heard from him again either !!!! A bit like you JTB on that nav ride
On Lawson mate.
Can almost throw a stone to Stephanie Close :laugh:Might head out for a run this Sunday morning if I can get some other tasks done by the weekend.
The dust will be long gone that`s for sure, might need paddle tyres the way it`s bucketing down this arvo :silly:I know them as well and have ridden with them in the past,,,
But I am not a fan of Facebook unfortunately so I miss out :laugh:Facebook sux
Just around the corner Drewy. I drive past your street every day
I`m on a KTM 690R, you have most likely heard me go past some mornings on the way to work
Chances of a ride are looking good in the next couple of weeks. I was nearly gonna head to meet you guys on that Watagan ride, but bike was already prepped and loaded for the weekender to Chichester for the KRR .I often do a half day loop up over the Wattos, out to Finchley or up to Wolllombi and back around etc
I will be in touch soon and have a catchup
G’day Drewy
I am also from Lake Mac (Macquarie Hills) and hoping to do some more local rides soon…I saw you scoping out rides on ORE, how did your run in the Watagans go the other day mate ?
You should be able to hook onto some rides on here, we have been a tad quiet of late but things usually pick up with the cooler weatherSee you on the trails soon mate
Now this has created some discussion
Being free and easy to join the forum means it`s just as easy for any so called ” tools ” to join in as well.
That usually sorts itself out anyway and they soon see that they don`t fit inJust my opinion of course, but I do feel sorry for anyone that misses out on opportunity to join in and suss out the group or groups we have on here.
Even though it is Free to join (unlike the way some forums are heading) some people may just feel pressured by needing to join up first and wonder if there are any hidden conditions, agendas etc etc
Then they take the easy option and give us a miss totally. One such example is the recent KRR Rally that James & I attended at Frying Pan.
It is run by the BMW Touring Club of NSW and has been going on for 32 yrs now. I presumed it was for BMW club members and BMW owners only until I emailed the organiser. Ended up being open to anyone and was a fantastic event with great people, with no pressure whatsoever to join their club
James & I were hesitant on the way up and had a plan B to bail and camp elsewhwere if needed, but ended up having a ball. I reckon we will both be back next year tooThere`s no easy straight forward answer is there ????
 The rim was busted real bad Bollocks, so bad he has ordered a NEW RIM apparently 😆
Snowey & Boony are most likely experts at the replacement procedure too though :sick:Happy Birthday again Ace old mate (at 39 you only just classify as an Old Bull )
There are so many people going through tough times the past year and presently
I have also been having some pretty crap periods over the last year and very nearly sold all my gear and bike off recently :blink:So many times it is job security and financial stress that contributes as well as other issues involving family & friends,
Things are far from secure here at the moment, the future is very uncertain still and while I don`t consider myself to be dealing with the Dog just yet, I can see how it creeps up on people!!!Keep the head up Ecks and as so many guys have already said, Keep the communication lines open wide mate. and shoot that Black Dog just like he deserves
TrailBoss wrote:Yeah Jnr we did that for a reason a few years agoMaybe we should undo it?
Mods your thoughts, maybe PM me?
TB
Maybe food for thought mate ???
If the peeps can`t see upcoming rides posted they can`t attend any unless invited by an existing member I guess
Then to see ride reports (especially ones in their own area) could be a bit offputting at times and stopping guys & gals from joining in and having a great time ,,,Sorry Junior for contributing to you having those terrible thought mate :S
We really are a nice bunch, sometimes disturbing :silly: , but we are genuinely a fun group:laugh:
Yeah mate,
Happy Birthday Champ
We need to get out on another ride soon hey ?All the best
All the best Pete
