Sorry mate,
No big rides for me just yet,,, I have heaps to get done here :SAM going away next week with a mate & family, maybe Nundle in July, then again later in the year so have to do the jobs here as well
Will plan some good rides next year I think (hope   )
Have fun, it sounds like a fun few days for sure,,,,,,,,,
Yeah, but this lid is quite tough & flexible actually (not brittle at all)
Ally was my first thought, but this was lying around & good for the first prototypeI may still go with a flatbar or extra lugs longterm, undecided as yet which way to go.
And thanx for the 2c, my bank account is growing , virtually
Yeah,, but,,,,
No I am not on any big rides just yet mateHave a lot of work to do here the next few months mate  Work that has to be done
My time will come though, wait & see

mickktm300 wrote:Hey old bulls, Mick from orange hospital here.
Firstly thanks so much to Galey for helping after the accident and coming to see me at hospital after. What a great guy.Â
Secondly thanks to all the guys who helped get me to an ambulance and everyone else who stayed around and waited with me and kept my spirits up.
Galey was right, my femur was completely snapped and the patella shattered. Now I have a titanium rod; some screws and wire keeping them in place. No idea yet on recovery time, as it depends on how quickly the patella heals.
Looking forward to getting on the bike again as soon as possible.
Thanks for the well wishes, MickGood to hear from you Mick,,,
Sounds like you are a lucky bigger after the off you had mate
Hope you heal up well & get back on the trails soonBTW, You still owe me some beers for the spare lever & the Space Blanket mate
Nah, ony joking, that is the best thing about OLD BULLS , besides the rides, you are part of a great family of trailriders that lok out for each other…..
Cheers
EAGSSunday morning was a surprise to see the temp a bit warmer than the sat :S A bit of cloud cover & a little breeze overnight kept the frosts at bay
There were some slow risers after the festivities of the night before too  👿A good brekky of Bacon & Eggs was enjoyed before I started to get the gear packed early (as it was already dry, which was a bonus)
I had thought about getting Jeffro to drive back to Capertee so I could have a run on the 690, but soon changed my mind as the weather looked a bit dodgy & I didn`t want to slow the group for the return, so I just got the gear all sorted then went back out to sample the trails close by for an hourI think Jeffro`s shoulder was wrecked & giving him grief cause he volunteered to drive anyway, that will teach him to drop the new toy
Most of the group had gone out for a couple of graded loops before the 12 am departure, so we missed most of them when we departed to head back towards Sydney via Lithgow & home to Newy.
We had a good run in the rain down the Bells Line of Rd & commented that we were both glad we decided to bail  Hope the ride back was s dry one ???????We had Pizza for lunch near the start of the F3 & were home in Newy around 3.30, then had some time to get the gear unpacked & bike clean
Had a great weekend, Many Thanx to TB for the hospitality, good times & banter as usual
Also huge thanx goes to Mal & Tim for organising the loops for the guys, also all that helped sweep etc for the crew.
The Support Crew was the best & funniest yet on an OBT trip for me & I thank you all for the laughs & hands on help, it really was a ball (even if you didn`t ride, just ask Bubba & Sam the REDNECK TWINS) :woohoo:Massive thanx go to my travel buddy Jeffro too, without the use of the Rockstar Trailer he borrowed, it would have been a totally different story,,,,, Thanx Mate, it was a good run down & back !!!
Cheers All & can`t wait till next time ,,,,,,,
May 30, 2011 at 11:36 pm in reply to: Adv Ride Report to the OBT 3rd Birthday Ride 2011-05-31 #202211Nice Report,,,Would like to do that route one day Gav
Maybe when it is a tad warmer than -4 degrees though :whistle:Some of the scenery down that way is awsome, even from the Bell Rd (limited places to pull over for a look)
Cheers
Oh Yeah,
No worries TB, I did check the seat carefuly for skidmarks actually
And, YES I do believe that it is a nice ride :woohoo:Cheers
We never got to have that drag race did we ?????????????????
Yes, it did get used sort of
Thanx Mick, that must of been one your “Arty Farty” shots :cheer: Looks good hey
Cheers
No, I read that description on ADV actually XY
One of the guys has a post that attempts to explain the map select functions on the 690 (actually says “feels like a t-Shirt stuffed in the Airbox” :laugh:On a different note, Here are some pics of the beast with the Touratech Rack installed (still some more work to do, but it`s close to ready)
Need a decent Bashplate, Screen & maybe a Damper & that`s it for now :cheer:
