Trailboss wrote:Cigar to Eagle 😆 😆 it is in fact Steve from Adventure Motos BMW800. I think he suffered a broken ankle from the crash. Steve is OS an the moment so he will have to fill the gaps when he gets back. I had seen the photo elsewhere but couldnt find it anywhereI asked Steve and he was happy to send me a copy to post
TB
Hold the Cigar, Eags don`t smoke
A good guess hey? Just put two & two together with Steve being away & all;) Damn,,,
Is that Big Steve from Adventure Moto ????
He seems to have a big stable of steeds to rideHope the rider was ok, whoever it was!!!
Chris,
I have noticed that you can`t save images from ride reports to your pc, I sometimes like to keep folders of images of rides I have been on for future reference etc,,,,
Is this possible with the new format of the site, or a site security thing???BTW, The changes are growing on me the more I get on and look around, so I guess they can stay
Cheers
Eagle`s Day two,
Before sunrise Saturday morning I heard the sounds of Krusty ratting about making a brew & starting to pack up ready for the next days adventure, and what an adventure it turned out to be…
We even passed on the idea of a BBQ brekky with the meat tray we had won the night before & kindly donated it to old mate that was cleaning round the Pub, the thought of hot meat in our bellies and the coming heat of the day made it an easy decision to make,,,A big thanx to Youngy at the Khartoum Hotel for the camp spot & showers , I think we will be back again for sure
Losta , MickP, Tryhard & GavB rolled in right on time & we were soon on the way to Cessnock to fuel up & fill the camelbacks with cold water. Then onwards towards Greta & Branxton & up Mount Durham & Lambs Mountain, which is where it all became interesting!!! Some detours were in need as there were some new Private Property`s cutting the way towards the Barrington Tops.
So we hooked back South East thru Lambs Valley, past Mount Hudson to Gresford Rd, fuelling again at Gresford servo & TB chatted tp the locals & may have hookes up some more trails for us in the future with local guys to lead us round. So then we ripped up thru Barrington Park & into Masseys Creek Forest which had an awesome twisty trail past some farms before a ripper climb which was twisty, loose & marbly :woohoo:
some pics of the guys in the fprest at various spots
The Central coast boys (KTM nuts)
Hot & Sweaty Eagle
This led us into Chichester State Forest, Williams Range & past Barrington House before following the Williams River back down to Dungog where some of us needed more fuel (which turned out to be dodgy to say the least)
By this time it was hot as a 40 Arabian Summers again as we hightailed it to Stroud Rd & all the way to Gloucester. There were a few little stops along the way for Krusty, MickP & myself due to the fuel probs, but we were on a mission to make Krambach for 2pm to catch the Bistro for a burger!!! Luck for us TB got thru on the phone & they stayed open for us, otherwise we would have started to cannibalise each other as we dropped like roadkill   :dry:After all the hot running to get to Krambach, we learnt that Mick & the fellow Wauchopians were running late & some suffering badly due to Mick`s little detour into the “Valley of Death”, Poor Strucky was a shot Duck when he rolled in but recovered later in the evening somehow!!!
Anyway, we all eventually gathered, had some cool drinks & a feed (also gave the garden hose/sprinkler a workout) before having another delay as the Super Commuter decided not to play (SORRY GUYS) after a plug change & a roll start, it got going, although quite sickly to enable the final run to Nabiac!!!Final instalment later,,,
