Don`t know if it relates to you, but I regularly clean any electrical areas on the Kwaka with CRC Contact cleaner & a light spray of WD to help keep everything clean & water repellant.
I realise that WD can break down the insulation on wiring, so I try & get it just up into plugs, connectors etc

Touch wood,,, No Electrical probs yet after 19,000k
