    Hi Eags,

I have a pair of PodMX knee braces and I will not ride without them, the new Pod K700 are little bit lighter. You maybe able to find the PodMX a bit cheaper because of the release of the Pod K700.
I was luck to find a pair up for auction on eBay in the US and got them for $450au delivered (normal price $500 ea.) they were brand new still in the box and the correct size.

If I were you I would check eBay out for what ever quaility brace you can find, you never know your luck, I got lucky.

Hows that for advice ???
There are Delkevics for $150 (new, but private sale)
CTI`s for $400 (factory seconds) & Asterik for under $800

Massive savings on all types, just gonna have a think now & maybe wait to save up some more $$$ before making the decision.
$800 is still an unachievable goal though I think

    Yeah, I hear ya man,,,

    Too true there Krusty,,,
I have lookes at them before, but as usual $$$ are always the factor

However, what price can you put on safety??? It is a long discussed topic on here for sure,,, and the most common philosophy for me is ” always buy the best protection that you can afford “

$300 for the PAIR sounds like great value to me, gotta be better than the $60 hinged knee guards that I have been using for the past 2 years. (they have saved me from some bumps too BTW)

    Cheers

How tight is out Aldi team gasser rider????

He is so tight his was the only bike that ran out of fuel

He is so tight he uses cable ties to hold his handle bars on

    TB :P

Hmm it was a case of improvise or dont ride,I decided to improvise ;) I tried to find a nut that would fit, even tried the one off my utes power steering box.

The fuel situation was a bitch probably because the bike was shared and did more laps than the others. Letting someone else ride my bike is not a case of being tight id say its a case of being generous, unselfish and making sure a fellow trail rider has a good time and not wasted travelling 500 km for nought ;)

    carry on Rex

I see you used Beagles KTM cable ties, I know he says green all the way but you can tell but the pretty orange cable ties he keeps in his wagon that he really wants to go to the dark side. :D

Either that or he will update to his new green meany :P Keweseki.jpg Keweseki-20100714.jpg

 The ties might be orange, but that is cause they come free to me :P
And YES, the next bike will be GREEN as always  just not sure how far away it is

The most testing part was the last hr of pushing the XR up out of the jungle!!!
Damn it was hard yakka, with many rest stops on the way up,,,

Anyway, I have now passed the doubt stage (all in the head) and am ready to rock again ;)

Just hadn`t planned on 195ks first ride back

 I dunno really, it was similar to when my XR250 stopped a few yrs back.
His kicker jammed solid, so the boys put it in gear, bumped it backwardS a few times and presto,,, it loosened up,,, but just kicked down freely with NO RESISTANCE at all, just a whirring sound

SO, the long haul began up to the road (HE WAS ASKING FOR A LIGHTER AT ONE STAGE)

WILL KNOW MORE IN A FEW DAYS i SUPPOSE
