I will wait till after the Rideadv nav ride then have a go at trying to fit the tank.
I`ll let you lead on the way down to the Nav ride Linz so the 690 doesn`t throw any spears at ya
Sorry mate :whistle
I have failed to find it this evening,,, I will continue to look and if it turns up it is yours.I did however do some prep on the 690 for the upcoming Nav ride
I had the same sized resistor on the heated grips I used to run.
I put a strip of heat shrink over the top of the resistor and it gave it some protection from doing what yours has done Jeffro. I did have one fall apart early days and sourced a new one from Jaycar.I may have a spare resistor here somewhere too mate, I will dig around in the cave and let you know if I find it. You can have it if it`s still there mate (next time your home for a visit)

Looks like they will get wet asses tomorrow as it is flogging down here at present, AGAIN as it has for the past week and a bit !!! and the trails up to and beyond Cessnock will be wet & slippery :silly:
Enjoy it guys, wish I was ridin` the route too, wet or not to be honest…
September 5, 2014 at 6:47 am in reply to: TONY KIRBY MEMORIAL RIDE – BRIDGE TO BRIDGE – 6 DAYS 2500+Kms Sep 2014 #257727I was hopeful of making at least the first leg Gav, but things aren`t panning out that way mate :S
Plus it`s Fathers Day and the family rule the roost over ride time these daysHave a good one guys
Damn,
I missed the big day sorry Spidy :dry:You were late checking in too
Belated Happy Birthday mate!
He (Scott Britnell) is linked to NickJ`s mate Lee Palmer at Crossroads MC at Grafton.
Lee helped with some prep and organized sponsors and support etc, so it`s been a good buildup to the taskLooks like he`s heading south to get the bike serviced maybe, or has called off the return leg
No firm info just yet, but I`m sure it will come soon.I really hope he does the return leg and smashes it both ways :woohoo:
Glad there`s no closeup shots of the bits for the backpackers then Bol
Thanx for taking the time for the report mate, keep it coming please ,,,Boze wrote:Love tis one :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:Nice, I can see why you like it :woohoo:
Yeah, He`s going at it full throttle , literally
Helps having fuel and full wheelsets buried along the way too I suppose,,,
Still an unbelievable achievement even if he didn`t finish for some unknown, unfortunate reason :whistle:Can`t fathom being able to tell the missus I`m going for a ride from Byron to the furthest western point in WA, and by the way,,, I`ll be back by next weekend
What a Legend !!!
Since we on Old Bulls condone and respect doing the right thing whilst riding in both Public and Privately owned areas,,,
I would think one wouldn`t think twice about stopping if one were doing the right thing, rego`d, licensed etc etcWe have some members that do work for the Authorities and I`m sure they may be able to answer the original question
He is a nutcase on that KTM Dakar bike Cowboy.
Looks like he will hit Steep Point easily tomorrow and be on the way back before the afternoon. Less than 4 days to traverse from Byron Bay to Steep Point.Well on the way to an 8 Day (or dare I say less) crossing on the country BOTH WAYS!!!
GO SCOTT GO
Sounds like a good, overdue change Nato
Looks like Corey needs some temptation lately from what I saw last week, the KLX buried in the back of the shed :blink:Wish “counting the cash” was my excuse Shane
A redundancy, 4 months unemployed and a sick wife put a hold on me for the year mate.Anyway, you have the right idea though :woohoo:
Cheers
Good onya Shane & co
